If you look at the help files and the syntax layed out for you in them, they leave titles out for whatever parameters the syntax uses. As an experienced computer nerd, I find it difficult at times guessing exactly what they're looking for too.
Reading/writing. I had a difficult time figuring this one out. Took quite a few attempts before finally figuring it out. Probably made my character look mentally handicapped in the process. Good for RP I imagine! Part of the problem with reading is that the book I was trying to read wouldnt display any pages I asked for, and I kept getting a bad error message in the process. I was using the read syntax right, but I didn't know I was simply because the help files didn't give me titles for the parameter. They gave me a blank space! Oh so useful. Thanks for letting me know something goes there, but not WHAT. Note: I came back to that book sometime later and used the same syntax for reading, worked finally (yay!).
Now, this is only from my limited point of view with the syntax I've come across, it might not be all bad. Either way, if you want to make it easier for people, let them know what they need to be sending for their commands to work!
