that is.. strangely awesome. I have never seen soulless work.
Unknown2008-03-11 04:21:40
Why didn't revan put up an offense?
Revan2008-03-11 04:57:46
I'm sorry Talkan. It seems that you think that whoring paralyze, lovers and pacification and inquiwhore on a class that's severely broken in regards of keeping up an offense makes you think you have skill. It's ok though, everyone already knows that Celestine is PK on training wheels. You're not really proving anything other than your class is horrendously broken. It was a valiant attempt, so kudos on having no skill.
Unknown2008-03-11 05:01:03
looks like you ganked an afk and called him a newb good on ya.
Arix2008-03-11 08:17:32
I don't see anything there worth bragging about, It didn't look like Revan was really fighting back
Catarin2008-03-11 12:23:43
It seems clear that Revan was in fact not AFK and he was making an attempt to fight back but was not able to do so. At one point he even got out of the room and chaindragged Talkan into another. At another point he used rushing. So it's a good log of a ninjakari getting completely shut down and killed.
It would be nice to see it from Revan's perspective so people could get an idea of what the offense would look like from the target's point of view. Assuming they did not just take the party line that Celestines are impossible to fight or what have you.

Eh, not a very interesting log. We need more logs like Ceren's fight in Shallach.
Kharaen2008-03-11 15:00:25
Did Revan actually do anything? I saw him rush a couple times, eat herbs...so unless that's triggered, he wasn't afk...if it is triggered and he's AFK...that's illegal
PK is PK. Wether it's cheap or noble, dead is dead. I'm kind of happy to see Revan killed, so go ahead and gank him some more Talkan

Why would you trigger a limited-time power-using defense? Jayzus.
It's a log of double disables overcoming the train-track offense of monks. Ko?

That is exactly why its worth bragging about. He shut down and killed someone who is considered a good fighter.

Except that it does't take brain surgery to shut down a monk. In fact, it's retardedly simple, as you can see
silimaur2008-03-11 17:01:23
I disagree, other monks im sure can kill talkan, just need to be curing and keeping your offence up effectively...
Revan2008-03-11 17:21:33
Since you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, I'll ignore you.
Ethelon2008-03-11 18:09:01
Talkan is a good fighter, Revan is a good fighter. Whats wrong here is that Celestines (Guardians in general, and even Telepathy Mages), have a HUGE advantage against us in fighting. I'm sure Revan tried to fight back, but Talkan used his skills to completely shut down Revan, and this is understandable. I don't think any gloating needs to be done from any side, but this is the way combat is sometimes.
Would also like to point out, that even though it's supposed to be looked into, the Ninjakari themselves, we still have many broken skills that Roark hasn't been able to get to fixing, which hopefully will help us in the future against the classes that just pwn us.

I never 'whored' paralyze. I never 'whored' lovers pacification. It happened once every 8 seconds. If having my angel attack is 'whoring', I don't know what you expect.
Speaking of 'whoring' all you did was try to rush, but I didn't complain. I just worked around it. That's how it works, you know. I'd wager that most people would say that Monks are pk on training wheels, but we'll leave that for another thread, I guess.
I don't know how you can DARE say that Celestines are broken when you play a ninjakari. Besides, everything worked perfectly fine on my end. If you couldn't manage to hit me once, you have to blame yourself more than me.
Furthermore, you should show some class. You died in a fair fight while you were trying to jump a young paladin who got lost in the Sea of Despair, but I bet you didn't want anyone to mention that. And again-how am I the one with no skill if you are the one who never managed to get an actual attack off?

He wasn't afk as can be seen by the constant running, setting up of waylay, a chain drag and the rushings. He even tripped my timeslip once. The newb comment was more in response to Thoros' attempt at trying to get under my skin with his earlier thread. I figured I'd turn the joke around on him.

Like Silimaur pointed out, the point of the thread was the fact that he indeed COULDN'T fight back. It's the first time I've ever seen a supposedly skilled monk fighter never manage a hit on someone since the players have gotten into the swing of the class.

Monks should be relatively difficult to shut down, especially with the form pausings.

Silimaur is regarded as a knowledgable combatant in both his characters. You may choose to ignore him, but he does have an idea of what he is talking about.

While I agree that the Ninjakari have many broken skills, none of them would have effected this fight.

If you won't add anything meaningful to the topic, you'd do better not to speak at all. A soulless kill is just as impressive as any other timed kill, no matter the preperation. And, as I pointed out, the main point of the thread wasn't the kill but the fight. So again, if you're going to go out of your way to try and pick fights, leave them out of the threads I start.
Shamarah2008-03-11 22:50:52
Nothing special but not bad either. Don't listen to the people who say inqui/soulless is cheap. I mean, there's only so many ways for a Celestine to kill someone; what else is there to do, judgment?
