....I love you.
That place has -everything-. I mean, flying fortress alone gives it enough cool points to be worth checking out, but seriously...crazy emperor wannabe's, mind control devices, Merian children and their parents to first trick, then murder? Mad undead experiments! Booyah!
That place makes being in Magnagora worth while, just by itself.

hrm some suggested changes to the quest however
Since killing anyone except globglob is not necessary for the quest please make those loyal to eachoter so people that protect the center by killing the important mobs are free pk in the center.
I do not think Globglob himself needs to be loyal but I would not really care if he did enemy.
Please let Globglob use untainted messages for Celest and Serenwilde.

Fix'd.
And I agree that the Globglob-opposing mobs should be loyal or some such. It's stupid that people can just keep killing Ildel (or whatever) and we can't do anything lest we suffer the Avenger.

But why would he do that? I mean he is, himself, tainted, so spouting messages about how the taint is evil doesn't seem likely to me even if they helped him get his station back working.
Of course, I'm not sure what sort of messages he says now, cause I've never heard any of them. Does he say things like "Go into the Taint! The Taint will set you free!" or something?

It's simply unfair that there is no reason for Serenwilde/Celest to do a conflict-quest. There either needs to be a different quest altogether that allows Serenwilde/Celest/Glomdoring to take control of the scholars/bards, or the current one needs to be altered to give a suitable IC reason for organizations other than Magnagora to do the quest.
It's like this: Imagine if the quest that allows Magnagora to attack the Star of Celest (and eventually Pool of Stars) was removed, but Celest kept the quest that allows them to attack the Necromentate (and eventually Megalith).

He just sends off messages insulting your commune/city, much like a propagandist with a loud speaker.
My concern with the thing is, scholars and bards are important, often especially for newer players. They can be frustrating enough, often times with several people running around the mountains at once, basically racing eachother. While I really like the feel of the broadcast center, I just don't find it particularly pleasant when you combine the above with the fact that only one organization has a real RP incentive to activate the quest. The other orgs can try to stop Mag (in this case), but doing so doesn't have any benefit beyond preventing Mag from gaining one.
I think a directly similar quest would feel contrived. I'd rather see the impact of the activated center changed to do something else. I mean, heck, the messages Globglob sends out are annoying enough to want to stop it, but if there needs to be a mechanical effect, I'd rather see it do something like:
-Grant an influencing bonus to the org in question. (As everyone has had their head pounded by propaganda!)
-Allow the center to be targeted at a town so that, during the next revolt, it will favor the bonused city/commune
-Perhaps with an additional quest of some sort, allow it to actually start a revolt.
Something like the above, where the benefits and goals are more org-centric, rather than frustrating to individual players just trying to collect bards and such.

Uh, is there currently an actual mechanical buff or reason or harmful implications to doing the quest?
Or do people just want their spouted to?

One thing I need to point out.
You -can- do this quest. Not doing it is an RP issue. Now, I'll concede that Globglob should have enough sense to spout propaganda relevant to the organization that helped him out...but you -can- do the quest if you want. Your comparison is slightly off.
But seriously...this place rocks.

Bards/scholars ignore everyone not from the organization responsible for raising Globglob.

Mezz tryed to help some friends of Serenwilde (a pack of the more skilled) and him wasn't able to walk more after the couple of grave diggers. heheh... I think he will wait more before the next visit to the center.

Only people who value honors lines over their RP (assuming their RP is not secretly being a Taint supporter and that won't be so secret once they do this quest) will do the quest if they are of New Celest and I'm assuming the Serenwilde. Why in the world would a Celestian do a quest that prompted messages like this:
Do not fear the Taint, New Celest. The power of it shall only propel the goals of the Light forward. Follow Us, Celest, and We shall show you how to harness this power!
OR
The radiance of Elohora can not hold a candle to Our brilliance, New Celest. Let Us lead you to a new age of prosperity!
---
Yeah. The line to spread Taint propaganda is forming to the left. Yay.
While the area itself and the quest itself may be cool and interesting, it is disappointing in that - similar to the soulforge quest - only one org has any real IC justifiable reason to do it and it has a worldwide effect.

I believe completing the quest makes bards, scholars and pilgrims only listen to the kind of org that completed the quest. So, if a Magnagoran or Celestian completes it, then they'll only follow someone from a city and won't listen to folks from a forest and vice-versa.
It's basically a way to try to prevent the opposing side (with the line drawn between forests and cities instead of taint and not-taint - which is where the problem seems to be, because everyone cares more about the taint/not-taint conflict and ignores the city/nature one) from getting the bards, scholars and pilgrims.
I love the idea of there being more city vs forest conflict! Too bad everyone's too wrapped up in the taint to take advantage of it. Though, of course, I understand why that is. I just wish folks could think a way around it.

anyways...
this seems to be a really interesting rp issue, once it afflicts too much the non-tainted places.
maybe could exist a quest in a similar way of this, like a great organization trying to heal the taint (okay, New Celest already does this without a quest, though that could be interesting conflict).

Hmm perhaps I'll crawl out of my hole for once to see what this place looks like.
Though from reading the events board I had the impression that the opposite quest was helping the children destroy the antenna. That would've been cool!

I never understood the nature vrs city conflict that seems to be always pushed in IRE games. I have never seen a "nature" org take their supposed hatred of cities seriously (never going in them, banning people from helping city dwellers, killing the leaders of cities, etc). On top of that the nature orgs always seem to be given exclusive access to an intragal portion of the game (herbs in achaea, pots here).
Lets assume for a moment that in some alternate universe Mag and Celest ganged up together and were all "bad forests! burn!". Without easy access to pots this would quickly become a very self defeating thing to do (anyone here ever on the wrong end of the Mhaldor forest conflicts in achaea?).
So not only do you just have some weak reasons to try and build on (we hate forests/cities because..well..we just do!) but you also have to deal with the issue that fighting them directly hurts everyone in your org (again assuming it was a true conflict).
Sorry for the thread derail, but I just think any attempt to force city/nature conflict is both RP and mechanically doomed.
