Cmud trouble

When opening up cMUD for the first time, I was given the option to "Transfer sessions from zMUD," accessed by clicking "Import from zMUD" in the File menu from my Lusternia session. To my surprise, I can only see part of the "Cancel" button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I can't even see the OK button that will no doubt be to the right of the Cancel button, even with a maximized window.

Not only this, but when I open up the Package Editor, and try to click the Options button in the bottom toolbar, I don't see anything. The button is highlighted, but I can't see a "General" option, or anything else that I would expect. I'm running Windows XP in the default skin, on a P2.4 ghz with 512 MB RAM and a 256MB video card, resolution set to 1600 * 1200.

Only time I've seen anything like this is when running very low on system memory.

I've seen misaligned buttons and text labels with certain versions of CMUD when running it under non-default themes or fonts. Try changing your display options in Windows to make CMUD play nice?

The buttons aren't misaligned: when I click "XML" "PREFERENCES" or "Convert to Module" it works like a charm. However, Larkin may have a point: the words "Convert to Module" look like they are extending past the button itself. However, I set my font size to normal from the Display option in Control Panel.

As for system memory, I don't quite think that's the problem: I have cMUD installed on my 40GB D: Drive, with a 768 MB page file. 523K of physical memory is present, with 191K available and 215K in system cache.

I hope you mean MB and not K when you're talking about physical memory. Running on less than a meg of RAM wouldn't be good. wink.gif

(Oh, and my name's not Larkin here, but I know who you mean. It's the signature that does it, isn't it?)

Yes to both. smile.gif
