Okay so I open up zmud, try to enter Lusternia and I get this gross looking screen. It only happens with Lusternia and no other muds unfortunately. This is one of the main reasons why you haven't been seeing Athana around...because I log in and feel useless on java. If someone is able to help me fix this it would be really appreciated! Thanks.
* I've already tried re-installing zmud, but no dice.

Removed for editing. Never mind me!
Edited again... Hmm. It's been a while since I used zMUD, but I recall bumping into a similar problem. I think you can fix it with an option in "Layout"... I think it's default layout or some such.

go to view -> preferences -> general
In tag "User Interface" tick 'MUD Output' (right hand bottom box, 2nd option)

Do you use Sham's mapper and changed your MUD-settings according to it?

It's been a long time since this happened to me, but I deleted my layout file (whatever.lay) to lose the saved settings and make it reset the next time I opened it. You could also try the Layout -> Reset Windows -> All Windows option, but that actually makes it worse for me on Windows Vista...
Athana2008-03-29 20:53:39
Yes, I use Sham's mapper...hmm now I need to figure out where my layout folder is...
I did a search on my computer for all documents with ".lay" and am not finding anything

Well, the problem with you not connecting might be that you first need to turn on the imts mapper.
Athana2008-03-29 21:17:29
Yay! finally got it working...thank you everyone!

Still sorting out how this forum works as it won't let me post a new topic. I'll post this here. Is there a current curing system for zmud available somewhere? I downloaded the trial version of cmud, but I think learning a new client and a new game and curing system all at once is going to be too confusing.

You should read the topic on how not to be a forum newbie. You need at least one post in another thread before you can start your own topic.
To answer your question: there are one or two combat systems available for zMUD, for a fee. Mine is still for sale, though I am only in bug fix maintenance mode now (i.e., no major changes for new skills) because I'm focusing on my CMUD system now (which is very nearly finished, pending the release of CMUD 2.23).
