I'm speechless
Ildaudid2008-04-01 05:18:23
this part:
- A powered up Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar will provide their guilds with
the appropriate powers/fae otherwise the guilds will lose the ability.
- Guilds that do not normally require the presence of the
Supernals/Demon Lords/Avatars will have their abilities change to
reflect the importance.

Does that mean if a supernal/demon lord or avatar dies, that a guild will lose skills from skillsets? or what powers/abilities are they referring to?

Not losing skills, but maybe just have them weaker. We're open to suggestions on it.

Wait, how can you make a statement like that on something that you have stated is in effect? Unless I missed it saying 'going into effect soon'.. I might have missed that. Otherwise this is in effect now and you taking suggestions on it doesn't make sense to me at all. What is it right now?

It's not in effect yet! We are hoping to implement in gradual stages depending on the underlying conflict rate.

With conglutination gone, can we please make people who lich/egg/transmigrate lose normal death experience and force praying if they die again within X minutes?

QUOTE(Shiri @ Apr 1 2008, 12:13 PM) 498327
- All Supernals, Demon Lords, Avatars will periodically require essence
upkeep to keep them powered.
if this is the case, can we increase the essence dropped by the ethereal/elemental denizens? like 2 per kill? and if you mean powered, meaning harder to kill?

-red up Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar will provide their guilds with
the appropriate powers/fae otherwise the guilds will lose the ability.
interesting, I like this

- The 7 day period where each being is invincible after being raised
will be removed to facilitate better conflict.
I don't like this, maybe give us just a whole day of reprieve? No one wants the supernals/demon lords/avatars killed ASAP after ressurected

- Nexus conglutinate will be removed as well and the ability to place
guards there.
Good/Bad Idea, Good because we can rush in towards the defenders, Bad because they can just camp whenever defenders head up, I suggest making the nexus room opposing demesne free and periodically kick out enemies and citizens of opposing org every few minutes

- Unpurified essence however will render a weakening in the shields
around each commune/city.
so we'll lose supplicants/souls faster this way?

- Each essence will lower the shields for an hour and all guards will be
weakened in proportion to the number of Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar of
your own org has died minus the number of Supernal/Demon Lord/Avatar of
the opposing org.
shields? you mean you can be summoned out of the city once we lose a supernal/demon lord/avatar? wouldn't that make non-fighters unsafe or novices?

- Villages revolts will be adjusted to facilitate a better shift of
power. During the first quarter of the year (Estar through Kiani), they
will revolt once every 3 days. During the second quarter (Dioni through
Avechary), they will revolt once every 5 days. During the third quarter
(Dvarsh through Klangiary), they will revolt once every 7 days. And
during the fourth quarter (Juliary through Roarkian), they will revolt
randomly between 3-7 days.
I like it, though I will miss the random revolts

- Constructs will be modified to reflect this change in the system, and
have their effects tune to boost/hinder respectively as needed.
nice

- There will be a time period where the Supernals/Demon Lords/Avatars
gather in on an unreachable aspect of the Cosmic Plane to battle it out.
- Boosting each being greatly increases their chance of survival.
if this happens, the org that loses be granted reprieve for awhile? I'm sure no one wants to be defeated in two battles

Okay, so you already know it's April First and are just being sarcastic. Or *are* you? wink.gif
Daganev2008-04-01 06:39:40
Many of these ideas sound really good, but I have my reservations.

I really liked last years suggestions, but they didn't seem to be fully implemented, and I'm not getting my hopes up again!

Also, there isn't a single mention of the Glomdoring monks in the announce, so I'm completely against it!
Shiri2008-04-01 06:44:14
What were last year's suggestions? They've completely slipped my mind and I want to reread!

I think one of them was "Anyone with over 350 days played will become a permanent fixture of Lusternia-- by being turned into an NPC for all to worship."

This would, unfortunately, make the player unable to log in this character.

QUOTE
This will probably be a controversial decision, but we have decided that
multiple organizations decrease from the dynamics of the game. Thus, we
will soon be implementing a series of events whereby organizations will
be merged together. The most dramatic of these will be the re-rise of
the Celestine Empire wherein Magnagora and New Celest will combine. The
corresponding guilds will also be combined into the ur'Paladins,
Nihilistines, and Aquageomancers. The bards guilds will remain separate
for obvious reasons. Then, an event will occur whereby Viravain and
Charune will marry, forming the Great Forests organization, combining
Glomdoring and Serenwilde. Guilds will also be combined into the
Featheredhart, Fairydancers and the Treeguards. Bard guilds again will
not be combined for obvious reasons. While challenging, I think you will
agree this will make for a much more dynamic world!

Last year's. I'm still waiting for the Treeguards guild sad.gif.

Very nice. Yay to Estarra for keeping a good April 1.

Edit: And to whoever groaned about the Shiribot beating them with his Shirbot reflexes...
It's the Shiribot. The Shiribot always wins cuz that's the way the Shiribot functions.

Indeed I do.

It's April 1, 2008 everybody.

Most people are aware of that. A lot of the early posts were edited to be really supportive-- mine kept getting deleted after I re-edited them, though. sad.gif Now I just have a few little figures roasting on open flames in later posts. Poor things.

And an edit for your edit: It was Estarra. We caught her in the act when she forgot to uncheck the "edited by" box. wink.gif
