Well, it's better than picking them up in that the chickens won't hop out of your arms. But the balance time is ridiculous, that's what makes it bad.

Snowballs: what use could I possibly have for snow balls? I hope someone has a use for them, but not me, that's for sure.

Mimic: I've not noticed any difference in trying to find a specific creature whether I use this or not.

It does work, you just have to keep spamming it.

Don't really have to spam it. I've seen it used in Faethorn once on the bluebird, and a few minutes later it entered the room. The mobs just move slowly.

Snowballs are used in some designs, some Cooking ones and some Jewellery ones. You'd have to look them up.

Otherwise, it's meant for fun.

Snowballs don't go well with books, I don't cook, I don't make jewellery, and if you throw a snowball at someone you usually get yelled at for being annoying. Hence, I have a useless skill.

Snowballs are used for ice cream and one of my designs, the black ice moonshine. So leave that skill alone

Okay. Phantomsphere sucks because you have to keep someone in your demesne long enough to summon a sphere, chase him down with the sphere (the sphere can't attack in the same room as you) order it to attack...then repeat 4 more times. Moving the sphere takes equilibrium and they can see the sphere move into the room. It is also stopped by shield.

Balance time AND the fact that it can fail, still costing you that balance. How often do you need to have a chicken in your hands for more than 30 seconds anyways? I just pick them up and hand em in right away.

Agreed. Very cool skill in Phantasms in terms of concept, but hard as heck to pull it off. I ran into about every problem with Phantomsphere while trying to pull it off on a non-moving, non-resisting target in the arena...and even then I timed out (no, I didn't start trying at the beginning of the spar, but I'm trying to make a point here).

Mimic is cool. I was hunting sandojins for some reason with someone, they kept on spamming mimic and I killed the sandojins away. Didn't take very long at all. All that annoying walking eliminated.

Snowballs are fun too. I had a snowball fight with someone once. (They cheated and hid in a shop storeroom though) I won in the end.

Longnight in the Night Skillset. There has never ever been a group large enough and with enough lessons in Night to use it. It has only ever been used twice, or so I was told. Twice since the Night skillset was created. What use is a skill if it is never used?

There has been enough for a full Coven like twice in all my time playing...

LongNight is a very powerful ability in the right situations, but yes, 13-members is pretty ridiculous for a requirement. Though the administration refuses to change the cost in terms of members.

There's one skill that makes me more angry than any other skill in the game: Environment. I mean, sure, there are a few useful abilities in the skill, but so many of them are utter crap. And others are bypassed by novice-skills. WHY DO I LEARN SHAKING AT NEAR-MYTHICAL AND A NOVICE CAN JUST CLING?!

Oh, and Weathersight. Weathersight, the skill that's supposed to let me see through weather, doesn't actually let me squint/glance in Thunderstorms/Blizzards.

Tracking gets better, I am not sure about Ecology, but hunting.... bah it is stupid... rustle, cluck, it goes on and on... well might be good for some pacifist wierdo that wants to make 1 gold an hour picking up cows and chickens. -shrug-
