That one used to be an empty slot. Wiccans can use it (I loved it as an MD). Not useless.

Blue in LowMagic
- Not really sure what it does.
Jousting in Riding
- Don't have it, but from what I heard, its useless
Spy in Crow
Nestcall in Crow
- Fairly high level skills that don't do much.

Nestcall is actually highly decent. Agreed on the other three, though.

Only problem I have with Hunting/Tracking is that to fully utilize the skill in the competitive PvP environment, you also need to transcend Environment. The extra 300 credits needed for a fairly useless skill isn't the main issue (although it IS an issue).
It's the fact that Tracking has THREE abilities (TreeHunter, DeepseaHunter, MountainHunter) that are simply copies of abilities in Environment. Now, remember how I said that to be competitive, a Tracker must also transcend Environment?

Go head and list useless skills, debate if they really are useless, and tell us why!
-RaiseDead
*Manse guard and room holding is about their only use
*These also seem to track so you cant use them as aide in a room
This may be so but I still think its fun
-Ablution
*Tiny boost for 2p, I forsaw this one early
*I am aware of the power burn argument (using power while linking)
-Lustration
*Same as above
I like the extra health/mana regeneration for bashing but I agree. Not too helpful.
-Encipher
*Yay I code what I read so only my spec can read them! But wait.. people dont take readable things from you anyway.
Extremely useful IMO
-Ent skills before Archangel/Archdemon
*Once you have the highest level of the critter the rest become useless (no current suggestions given to change this without being too powerful)
Agreed
-Princess tarot
*Stopped by being prone among other things
*Too high a power cost
-Warrior tarot
*Just adds spam, the damage is trifle
Totally agreed
-Judge tarot
*Gives a single affliction, instantly cured

World Tarot
*For 10 power (?) allows your tarot throws to bypass shields. Limited amount of time.
This ability is useful for Tarot. My problem is that for a trans skill, this utterly underpowered. I'd love to see this fixed without
making the skillset overpowered.

Aye very true, forgot world. The old world tarot had better use :/ range soulless hits, hangedman, and aeon.
Warrior should be upgraded to bleeding or else higher damage.
Encipher? Useful? Paradoxes I say!

Would it be cheating to bring up Sparkles from Illusions? I thought about Stars, but no, Stars is pretty nice.

You cant really cheat, you just need say the skill and why it stinks. People will generally ask what it does if they dont know.

I rather like sparkles..it add some nice flavour and it's nice for celebrations and such like
Furien2008-03-31 13:42:27
Sparkles just gives Seren excuses to do violent acts against Arix at the Moonhart.
Noola2008-03-31 14:04:09
Sparkles are awesome! Not every ability needs to be good for combat. Some are good just for fun!
And I was going to go over to the Scrying Pool to look at abilities, but none of the skill list pages are working

Meh. It's working now. Or maybe it was just my computer at home. But I don't see why, I've looked at those pages at home before lots of times.
Anyway, it's not a useless ability, but I've always wondered why Recognize is so low in discernment.

There's never really enough shouting for this skill to be useful.
