Or, the humans are actually all the orphans that Servelan "slaughtered" (but actually rescued and put into a void) in order to summon the Unnamable Horror...
As someone who worked long and hard to stop that in Achaea (well not the original summoning, but the future ones), but now plays a human here, I would find that deliciously ironic.

Step two: Magnora and Dylara entered the rift, and were transformed. To what is not specified. Assume that they were transformed into Servelan de Vermiis.
I saw her just the other day.
Ssaliss2008-03-31 17:45:41
Yeah... My sense of names is far from good, so that might very well be someone else Dynara, perhaps?

Yeah. I always pictured her hanging in a void between Lusternia and Achaea (if one assumes the theory is correct) waiting to be summoned. So she re-enters the rift on the Achaean side, nabs a few humans, goes back to the void and gets summoned. Or something like that. The whole "bringing humans with her" is somewhat difficult to explain, since Eris left Achaea before Humans were even conceived...

See, I saw it more as a direct opening between universes, with nothing in between.
But I like your explination as to what humans got brought along!
Tekora2008-03-31 20:50:07
Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm pretty sure it's clear what needs to be done now.
Find a way to travel back in time (Eye of Dynara, perhaps?), enter the aperture and lay some royal Lusternian smackdown on some Acheans!

True, that would be a good way to show people that Lusternia is better...but...when we entered the world of Achaea, would Nihilists' ties to Nil and Celestines' ties to Celestia still exist? What about Wiccans? Where would we get power?
(This isn't really all too serious; just the questions that came to mind as I considered an actual 'lusternians-raid-Sapience' scenario.)

Oh, it's easy then-- just send the cannon fodder, the warriors, monks, and bards. We'll take care of it for you, like we always do .
Shurimaru2008-04-03 15:38:05
Which brings up the interesting point of Lusternian monks versus Achaean monks. Now THAT, I'd pay to see.
And, of course, the following forum posts would be a riot.
Achaean monk: Monks are so OP!
Other poster: Yeah, no kidding?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think somewhere along the lines Estarra said she was once and Admin for Achaea. Soooo maybe?
Although it might also have been she was a player of Achaea, became an admin for Aetolia, then went on and created Lusternia. I don't remember which though, but I do recall reading something like that.

She was an influencial player in Achaea (Servelan) who ascended (Character became a god) in Achaea to Eris, and now we have Estarra.

would explain why dwarfs stink in all the ire games not just a few?

OH GOD
I think that proves it... Achaea and Lusternia are connected!!
ESTARRA!!!!!!! What hath thou wrought?!?!

I had no idea about the Imperian being a southern continent on the same planet as Achaea. How does that even work, what with the various gods and all that? And all the magic? How do they not know about eachother/how to travel between the places? The Aetolia and Lusternia alternate worlds make sense.. but the Imperian/Achaea connection makes no sense.

Pretty sure Saran just made that up for the hell of it, heh.

Step one: Humans are created from the rape of Maya by the Unnamable Horror. Assume that the nameless son and the Unnamable Horror is the same, and you can see how humans have the essence of the nameless son.
Step two: Magnora and Dylara entered the rift, and were transformed. To what is not specified. Assume that they were transformed into Servelan de Vermiis.
Step three: Servelan de Vermiis summons the Unnamable Horror and merges with him/it, creating Eris. From the previous assumptions, we now have the three children melded.
Step four: Eris enters a rift and disappears from Achaea for all time. She then appears in Lusternia as Estarra.

Man, I am so cool. I've been in Lusternia, I've been in Achaea. God I rock.
(yes, I saw the correct later on)

Achaean news posts are... confusing.
But it would be very neat if the IRE worlds were connected in some real plausible way

Well considering Achaea only just bought in ships (lol), there isn't really many ways to travel between them barring some portal related mishap. And the Divine could be territory related, in regards to their pantheons, much like in forgotten realms etc where the further they are away from their followers the weaker they are, so they tend to stick out of each others way.
Astraea2008-04-04 07:39:48
What about the fact that Imperian has -three- moons?
Rika2008-04-04 07:42:43
It's a Moon covenspiracy, of course.
Aramel2008-04-04 08:12:34
Yep! We do it so we can secretly control everyone's minds and magic.
