I think 357 is reasonable to have as a goal.
Desitrus2008-04-10 19:55:56
I suppose this begs the question with that klangaxe:
(Bellator Societas): You say, "66/415/241 or 66/439/230 for the +10% wooouuunding."
It sits a 474 base combistat. I can shave 11 speed and keep the prc, or shave 11*2.2 (24) prc off, or some variation of both.

to me a +-3 on a stat doesn't matter, but +-4 does.

Referring to the waraxe? I don't know, I dumped to excel and combed some results. I smelted a 359/x/183 this afternoon :x.
The above post I made was referring to the klangaxe, in order to put 10%'s on it I have to drop it to 463 combistat.

It is a two-handed weapon.
Damage: 360 Precision: x Speed: 184
A colossal claymore has no poisons or magical effects on it.
It's possible. In fact, I got this one in two hours: way, way faster than my current prec sword.
It is a two-handed weapon.
Damage: 186 Precision: 479 Speed: 191
A warrior's iron greatsword has no poisons or magical effects on it.
EDIT: I have to ask: what are you going to use your runed axe for? Are you going to be trying for one-hit heavy wounds with it? Is it even possible to one hit fullplate wearers into heavy wounds? If it was... well, being able to stack regen cures like cracked kneecap would be nice. Pureblade users have the best assortment of regen cures at heavy wounds, though...

I never said it wasn't possible, just improbable. A whole lot of things are possible, but do I really want to reforge that same axe if it comes out 359/x/184, a difference of something like 8 damage done total? I wouldn't think so, but I had been just being stubborn.
The runed klangaxe will be capable of pu assaulting heavy wounds onto fullplate yes, the damage waraxe is for squishies and raids. It only took me 9 hours to forge my 180/507/178 greatsword.
The whole point I guess is that forging is a total crapshoot. I could have made fifteen of them by now, or maybe none in a week. Who knows? GO DICEROLL!
Karnagan2008-04-10 21:25:35
Yeah, I didn't assume anything you said. Just giving you some hope. I think your idea to set the damage for >355 is smarter than demanding 360, though.
I wonder what can do more wounding in a single strike: a 501 two hander without runes, or a 433 klangaxe with all the trimmings stacked on top? Granted, the klangaxe will ignore damage and give you more focus on wounding and speed, which you can't get when you focus purely on precision. But the difference between the precisions might mean the ability to regularly stick heavy wounds on a larger proportion of people (especially without using power-intensive assaults) or not.
It's hard for me to know the exact effects of runes when I've only ever owned a single one. Puzzlement.

It should be roughly equal actually. Geb has better stat and wounding runes than I will be placing on his katana and he actually outdoes the x/510/195 greatsword he has. Plus you know, SPEEDY.
Karnagan2008-04-10 21:32:36
Yeah. I just get a tingling in my giblets when I think about how much damage he can do to fullplate wearers with the prec katana... never mind to a cloth wearer. And when you consider the regen timers and how many regen afflictions he can deal...
Desitrus2008-04-11 05:00:33
Hnnnn, so tired of this.
Unknown2008-04-11 05:21:23
It's silly that any archetype has to work so hard and use up so much time just to break even with other classes.
Let the forging hammer rearrange stats. End the "warriors should have to spend hours at a forge just to be as good as anyone else" cycle.

It's not just that. I ... well look:
You currently possess 12 lessons, 1735 credits, and 0 bound credits.
I'm ready to use those. On any other IRE or as any other class here I'd go pick up my level 3, my magic damage arti, my whatever and be done with it. Instead I'm waiting 72+ hours just to use them. SAD FACE EXTREME.
