What got me was how everything was so different from the other IRE games. This one just stood out to me. PLUS! Dreamweaving. Don't hate it

Histories, for sure.

Back in the days of...well...donno how long ago. It was a while, maybe a year and a half? Anyway, back when I played my first character, I was a poor little demented Serenguard with a twin brother.
And my first teacher was someone that wasn't a total jerk. A nice change from Achaea.
<3 Everiine
My first parents were awesome too, can't believe I forgot them D:
<3 Elysiana and Hiriako

Shiida? I miss the twins. You guys were fun! And thank you, nice to know I wasn't a total jerk (and hope I'm not one now!).

Yeah, and look at how bitter Rika has become.

What got me to stay? Hmm..
The histories reeled me in, but really, I would never have stayed if not for Glomdoring. Now I know that may sound silly to some, but Mother Night really is the most interesting denizen that I've ever known. I really feel like Glomdoring in general is filled with such depth and sorrow and emotion, such..mmh. Love Lost, I guess. There always seemed to me to be a curious tone of mourning underneath the Glomdoring's obsessiveness over itself. Like they were lamenting not being the Gloriana anymore. It's not noticeable in players, but the room descs, the NPC's, Rowena especially, it all drives me to play, and to play the best role I can.

Fun people, and Admins who actually care about the people who play the game AND the game.
Much love to the Paladins though.

I came to Lusternia first because it was one of the two IRE's that had bardics, and I'd figured out that playing an IRE without a source of credits meant you'd be stuck basically forever.
It was wiccans that hooked me, though. And fae.

At the start what I liked was the newness and the complete difference from Achaea. It just felt deeper and more thought out than Achaea. Like there is a plan and not just aimless wandering from event to event. Story arcs FTW.
What made me hang around was the mapping, the awesome admins, and Soll.

Ahhh, Glomdoring! I'm so unhealthily attached to it.

I first found this Mud by accident while I was looking at topmudsites webpage. Hrm, let's see.. I quit a couple times and eventually came back each time.
When I first started playing I had a Nihilist, my demon Rp'd with me alot and Gorgulu did too. That was fun for awhile, of course this was a long time ago. I quit for awhile, then when the Glomdoring turning into Wyrd event came around I totally went Glom and fell in love with every aspect.
Then I made an Ebonguard, Daganev and Adracunin were fun. Adra's Ritual for my Warden Ceremony was really descriptive and well thought out. But it too eventually got boring and I quit again, untill I came back the same day Nirrti created the Harbingers.
The Harbingers are awesome and I still love Glomdoring RP, how could I possibly leave now? Viravain's return really glued my feet to the floor though, even though she's not around anymore. /miss Viravain
Not to mention the hoards of d'Murani I love so much!

I came for the Glomdoring. I stayed for the Shayle and Yeralih.

I came here after playing Achaea for a year, then dipping my toes into Aetolia, but finally Lusternia grabbed me.
Okay, now that I've got some time to make a better post,
I stayed because Shofangi seemed ninja-ish, and I was tiring of the other ninja-ish classes in other IRE's (Serpents, Syssin). So I guess it was the newness.
Then along came the Ninjakari. Yay!

I came because I was bored in my computer tech and graphic arts classes.
I stayed because:
-Axelord
-Tracking
-Xenthos and Shayle
-Epic combat
-Addictive gameplay

So, we all have that first memory of Lusternia that made you enjoy the game. What was yours?

Early Nihilists. Torak, Nepthysia, Beren, Bricriu, Brona, people like that. (I notice B-names proliferated quite freely back then.) Even the brief flirtation of Erion which ended in me trying to kill him and getting thrown out of Magnagora. CRAZY DAYS.
