True but here's the thing. We don't have a huge playerbase, we've got a nice one but in no way huge so if people get pissed off they don't need to tell them not to go to lusty but can tell them to go to one of the other IRE games. Also take into account how many people have multiple characters in different orgs so even if you have a seren and a glomdoring you piss that one player off and you lose a person from both org so it's not totally 3 to 1. Also you have people from other orgs who commiserate with the celestians regardless of Mag, Seren, or Glom, so it really isn't 3 to 1 in my opinion. Hell I could be completely wrong and more and more people are joining because of this. I personally just don't think the idea of hey we could ignore the few people on top that we're pushing away in order for more less devoted players ::shrugs::
The thing is there are some players whom for whatever psychological need, always want to win in the game. You can't. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose because you missed something. These individuals will get angry and come to the forums no matter what you do. If you give them a God, they want more. If someone else gets a shiny toy, they want it. You cannot cowtow to pressure arising from the histronics of metagamers.
For a good example look at the bloody Shammy/Paladin screaming on World of Warcraft forums before they in essence made the game symmetrical.
What would bother me the most is if a coordinated group of metagamers repetedly cudgel the admin into getting what they want. This would
be reason NOT to play the game, since the game would not be fair. In THIS case in THIS event I do not see that much productive histronics from metagamers. Geb and Catarin are, for the most part, pointing out flaws in the system that led to either an inequity in ability to apply resources in the event (avenger) or trying to explain initial player bias that lead to confusion (Never thought of lassoing). I disagree with Geb because in retrospect a pegasus = horse no matter how powerful, but I see his point given the backround of information he was drawing upon.
I do not think the Events were rigged. I think some people want them to be, so you have to ignore those folks.
My final point is I do NOT want a symmetrical game were both sides have the same resources (ie Celest and Magnagora have Lich for example).
That is irritatingly boring.
We should have an equal chance of figuring out an event, or if not an equal chance, give the side that is handicapped knowledge that they are handicapped and the potential for more to gain. Or perhaps even the option of a handicap.

I think I got digressed from my point. I'm not saying the admin is pushing anyone away or that the games going to crash and burn. I stated in my original post that I thought Celest got screwed. Then I skipped a few lines and quoted someone can't remember who right now about their statement saying it might lose players but in the end it's 3 to 1.
Again i'll repeat. I am not saying that OMG the worlds going to end because of these events or that a = 4 or whatever. I was just saying that I don't agree with the hey it'll all work out in the end business approach because it's 3 to 1 because after everything is factored in it's not really a 3 to 1. That's all, I wasn't speaking of the recent events just a generic I don't think it's okay to push someone away on the basis of a 3 to 1 business perspective when in actuality it's not 3 to 1.
I think I even put in an Oh also then the quote meaning it was separate from my events portion of my post.

If Ayridion had an Avatar, and he stopped being a God would that Avatar continue to be an Avatar?
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
I don't think so. The Order dissolved, so that was that. But as other people stated, Avatars aren't the same as companions. If a tracker goes inactive, the bond will still be there. If you attack the bond, it will still attack back.
Also, if the Avatar would have stayed, I demand for Ayridion to come back for a day or two.

Heh, Geb made an interesting point. No one would be shrugging their shoulders going 'Oh, lol, you could have lassoed the event mount, lol' unless Estarra hadn't offered that it was an option at the time. Now, assume we had people there who had even invested much in riding and had 10 seconds to figure that out. Aestra died pretty easily. You rock, Prisch. Your posts remind me of Celina's.
Astraea: Good point. If some SD decided to lasso Gwyllgi...
Ildaudid: I'm shocked. If Terentia had zapped a Mag ascendant for standing on Celestia, you'd be frothing at the mouth. I'm a bit disappointed it happened as I lost a lot of essence that had been worked for, but I'll live. I could care less that you think it's fine that a person gets punished by an administrator simply because they were raised. You don't have to agree with the ascendant system. I'd cede a few points on that, even. However, I feel I've put a lot of effort into Lusternia, with my character. I've helped a lot of people and hopefully will have left an imprint when I'm long gone. I don't want my character targeted simply because of ascendant status. If Terentia zaps a person for -no- reason: It is not okay. Nor is provoking Divine and whining when you get a spanking.
Asarnil: Maybe you were playing a different game. I saw Magnagora utterly destroying Celest -and- Serenwilde in the beginning. Celest was forced into a peace-treaty with Mag, which had to be forged, forsaking roleplay, as quite simply a lot of their population was quitting the game and the org. I don't know how 9 hour raids in Faethorn/Celestia were considered restraint, though I thought it was fun for the most part. Not everyone found it so. The Star fell numerous times. I remember watching Geb die repeatedly, as a mage, trying to take on groups by himself. Or Valek and Daevos sitting in Celest or on Celestia, killing people as they'd log in. Killing the guards until the city went bankrupt. There's a reason auto-conglut was added on Prime. Also, those incidents brought about allowing guards to be called at nexus rooms off-Prime, to stop camping and killing transverse-ers.
With that said, I am not implying that it's okay for one org to grief another for what happened in the early months of the game and Celest has shown quite a bit of restraint in more recent times. These events/quests are just a bit aggravating and causing a stir, I guess.
