I don't want to sound extremely biased or anything, but...
Did it ever occur to someone that they should just lasso the pegasus and take it to Raziela?
It seems blatantly simple to me.

Obviously the event didn't have a huge impact on me because the communes weren't involved.
But a lot of you are sounding EXTREMELY butthurt, and really I'm sorry to say this.

It's your fault. You messed up and all you can do is get it right next time guys, nobodies perfect.
Sure there were some minor kinks here and there.

Yes, yes, but the Avenger made it unfair.
Well, perhaps if Celest wasn't in Terentia-mode and didn't go 1D with their swords in hand it may have turned out differently. With that being said, many of the supposed 'faults' in the event could be nullified and blamed on the players who didn't even try. Most of you even openly admit to just logging out right away, showing your lack of enthusiasm for these things and probably even moreso involvement of thought process which probably resulted in...this.

Sorry, my intention truly isn't to put Celest down. Infact after the last event I was expecting you guys to pull it out.

Ohm, do you know the back history of that Pegasus? Have you paid attention to what anyone stated about it? It was a supernal level creature. Heck, it even use to talk. Now considering it is a creature that is suppose to be every bit as equal as one of our Supernals, lassoing the creature is not going to be the first thing that comes to mind.

Hindsight is 20/20, but that does not mean you come and try to tell people off just because you can look back, after being told by the admin mind you, and say what people should have done.
Asarnil2008-04-22 05:01:21
Also of note, Magnagora originally went in expecting it to be at its old level of strength and was preparing for that too. Last time Magnagora tried to take it out (when Hajamin was still active) it completely wiped the entire force that tried to kill it.
Prisch2008-04-22 05:02:33
I'm not telling you off, but frankly some of you need it.
This thread is full of complaining, I'm just condensing most of(probably common knowledge) what has been said already.

Pretty sure you knew the unicorn was used to heal Raziela, what other way would you have taken it to her?

If you considered a random attack by Celest a valid reason to bring down the Star, then how can you not consider what happened to Raziela as reasons enough to do the same to the Necromentate? I mean if what happened in those two events are not valid reasons to kill the Demon Lords, please tell me what is?

Hey, the star only went down after some group of idiots tried to take down the demon lords. ohyeah.gif

Dude. Bellerophon. I should have caught the reference.

Though a dream of a golden bridle would have been nice.

It is a Pegasus for one. Second, it was an intelligent supernal level creature. How do you interact with an intelligent creature? I know I don't walk up to one, and throw a lasso on it. Though, I guess you would thrown a lasso on something that was smarter and more powerful than you. Those of us with a bit of common sense would have considered conversation first. You know, asking the creature for help?

Though you say you are not trying to tell people off, you are trying to hang on to the idea that you knew what was best, though you did not even know anything about the creature we were dealing with.
Prisch2008-04-22 05:26:06
How does it being a Pegasus make it Less-lassoable?
Just because its more powerful than you doesn't mean you couldn't mount it.
I'm pretty sure a mystical, sparkling unicorn/pegasus screams "Ride me" to the hero.

That is a dead give away. There really isn't an arguement there, sorry.
It would have been the first things that came to mind.

No, I'm NOT just saying that because it was previously stated.

Note: "Would have started conversation" meaning you didn't? So if you did, and it didn't work then..

You can harp about how its an Avatar-level creature and I'm flaming Celest all you want, I still feel the same way.

By take same thinking, I will say Magnadoring also banded together (Yes, Glom was there. We all saw it)

I definitely understand the Celestians points of view--It's akin to me trying to lasso Gwyllgi and prance around on his back. Never in a million years would I have thought to lasso that pegasus, if I were one of them. You don't mount religious icons, you revere them.

It's not just that the pegasus is Avatar-level. It's that the pegasus was a sentient companion of Hajamin. Riding it could have been considered extremely disrespectful, and given that they were quite reasonable in expecting they could talk to it and get it to come help rather than just toss a lassoo over its head like a regular horse it doesn't seem fair to criticise them for lack of common sense.

@Celina: Hahaha, ok.

Let me point something out to you. When Hajamin was around, the Pegasus would talk. It would wipe out whole groups of people trying to kill it. It would come and tell you that Hajamin wanted you. Last, I am told by someone who was in the order, that she killed a person who did try to lasso her. Now, this version that was summoned was immediately attacked when she arrived. She did not fight back at all, and she died in less than 10 seconds or so. There was no time to figure out that Aestra was no longer sentient and no longer a supernal level mob.

So, you can sit in your tower and act like you know what you are talking about. I know just by your lack of knowledge about the creature that you are playing at knowing. You were not even there, yet you try to act like you would have known what exactly to do. Well, with your remarkable prescient ability, I expect you to do great things in what ever community you are a part of.

Uh, what? Pretty sure I was the only Glomdoring presence during the Hajamin temple event. Any by presence I mean I ported to Lanfayr and was immediately attacked by Celest(LOL treaty!) and left.

Unless some Glom ninja'd their way into the event and started smacking down Celest, and even if they did Narsrim or whoever would have cried to Glom's leaders immediately.

Hey, let's start a game. You win if you can name three Serens who took part in this event. Go on.

Lol, you thought that treaty protected you? Since you are an enemy of Celest, teleporting to other enemies of Celest who are hindering the City's progress, you thought a treaty (which I know you have not read) was going to protect you? confused.gif

Glomdoring is (or was) notorious for bending over backwards to appease Celest at the cost of anyone at CR2 or below. Not to mention that the treaty was completely and utterly riddled with loopholes and inconsistency to the point where it was useless (those at the top could interpret whatever the hell they wanted).
