I don't understand this Kephera business. Buffing their stats and giving them a level 2 poison weakness? Kephera most definitely did not need stat buffing, and poison weakness is nigh useless, because very little does poison damage. Essentially, you just made Kephera a lot tankier, which nobody wanted. I wouldn't say the illithoid buff was necessary, either, but might makes right and apparently I'm the only one who thinks that. :/
On an unrelated note, as a dwarf with 18 strength and 10 dex, trans axelord, 192/538/206 greataxe, I could not build wounds on Exeryte. I can has warrior rebalancing?
(I'm trying not to sound angry, and I am grateful that you're letting us test this, really.)

I don't really think kephera males needed another constitution. They already have level 3 physical defence, and they are also allowed to wear greatrobes. An extra cons will just make them even tankier.
Revan2008-04-24 03:49:17
The illithoid now look like very viable monks. thumbs up to this change
Doman2008-04-24 03:56:56
This is really awesome. I'd also like to say <3 divine for actuaIlly listening to players. That's a huge deal.
Also, I really like Talkan's Suggestions

5-10 minutes of him wailing on me didn't do anything.

Soo... Tae'Daes...
From what I've been reading, they're going to be faster now and that's always a good thing.
But since right now I'm limited in my ability to be able to play, I'm curious as to what people think. Are these cute and wonderful bears able to move out of just being the best RP race around to a viable combat race? I'm thinking warrior mainly... is it going to be fairly okay now? Or is it still way easy to out heal the damage we're looking at the Tae'Daes outputting?

Hmm, not sure why the illithoid get a poison resist. *chin* should be a blunt resist. Ah well, not complaining too hard >.>
Furien2008-04-24 04:24:07
You just want blunt resist to stand up to Shujiro.
Otherwise- woot, female kephera boosts! I know where I'll be reincarnating when this is over.

Kephera did not need to be buffed. This is not reason for celebration.
Furien2008-04-24 04:35:19
Oh crap.
I got an extra int and cha for a race that's supposed to be caster-esque but nobody really uses anyways compared to the other options.
Woe. The world is ending.

Um.
It's been used quite frequently for the resists... which are pretty darned insane, since the "no armour" limitation doesn't actually exist. Remember that robes don't count as armour.
Rika2008-04-24 04:37:03
That's because most caster types are currently mugwump.
Furien2008-04-24 04:38:57
Rika: Yup.
Xenthos: True, and I'm admittedly speaking from a Druid POV. I need all the resistances I can get, and...well, I don't really have much.
Edit: The only person I remember ever using Kephera for the sheer purpose of disgusting def stacking was Thoros in his let's-tank-500-guards-behind-Greatpent raids. That got beaten to death when DMP came, as far as I saw/experienced.

So, you just agreed that kephera don't actually need the stat boosts? Brilliant.
As for Thoros, that actually got ruined by the guard upgrades, and not DMP.

..I'm not talking about the entire Kephera race. Female. In terms of INT and CHA and being viable offensively. I don't see how those two stats would cause a dramatic shift in the resistances of Kephera, but if that's big a deal, why not just..axe the actual resistance problems as several people have suggested since their release instead of panicking over 2 extra stat points?
Unknown2008-04-24 04:50:52
I don't get why Kephera are getting blanket increases and Aslaran can't even get a little boost for their losing the speed thing. I guess I give. It sucks, but oh well I guess.

It doesn't matter which one you're talking about. Both are tanky. Both already have average stats. You don't need more of it.

Hmm. Since Revan mentioned it....instead of a poison resistance perhaps could they get ....
Are resistant to insanity, level 1. Slightly reduces rate of accumulating neuroses in Muud and Astral.
They are Soulless shards after all >.>
Thoughts?
