Here is a little story.
In theory, your conclusion and analysis of Magnagora's punishment is correct. Indeed, this would be applicable if RL policies were applicable IG. In truth, you are punishing players for the crimes of those long gone. In all honesty, how many Mags from that time period are still around? I ask this because I have absolutely no idea. What I do know is that I, at the very earliest, and everyone who started playing after me have been subject to what has been the equivilent of almost 25 IG years of constant beatdowns. Very few who were around when I started, and therefore are the perpetrators of said crimes, still play, forcing those who came after to take the punishment. So, yes, your reasons are valid IG, but I am personally very close to giving up on the city altogether because of the response to crimes that I did not commit.

Either she didn't mention it in her post or I didn't read it carefully enough (which is very possible, me=sleep deprived). That's awful, never seen Meliana even show up for a raid.
She didn't mention it directly, it was the cause of her post on LOR4 that said "And stuff like this makes me want an enchanting pentragram in my aethermanse! *supersadface*. She was actually mid-enchant no less. Stealth is a preeeetty sweet in-city griefer's toolbag. Speaking of toolbags...

My main concern at this point is how things can be fixed precisely. I imagine the first step would need an event or something or a good way for Magnagora to actually seek a ceasefire with Celest, presuming Celest wouldnt do it themselves willingly (Tell Nars he cant raid and he might just not log in).
QUOTE
I would like to see an image change but how do you change an image thats chiseled in every citizen? How can we lose the dark image when the skillsets even make us look it?
When I read the histories I got very interested in mag. My very first character here was a Mag. I heard some passing comments about the Engine of Change and I thought it was perfect. I had images of like hard core industrialists who were out to empower their people and world for the better and were willing to put up with some pollution and strip mining to get there.
Then I came across all of the plainly OOC evil things all over the city and especially Nil. The demon lords (even their name!) really turned me off. I had played in a blatantly evil group in another IRE game and I was not wishing to do so here.
So then I took a closer look at celest and I loved the subtle evil that was behind everything. I honestly find the celest supplicant quest far creepier than the more overtly evil mag spike quest.
I have no idea how to change the image, I just thought I would offer some impressions that I had.

I think there is clear evidence that a few of the leaders in celest would be willing to work something out on an OOC level but it would need to make sense from an IC level as well.

They should be relatively the same, though Gorgulu is more powerful than his equal-opposite, Raziela. It wasn't very long ago that Estarra posted an announce stating that Raziela was unintentionally more frail than the other supermobs and it was corrected. Still, none of them have anything on Gorgulu. They die because it's silly to go after a mob of that strength with anything less than your entire org. Ta.
Srsly, if there is an imbalance anywhere between supernals and demon lords, its that gorgulu is >>>>> raziela. Two 5k damage room attacks in a row was it, last time I was there? Offed a few demigods in a matter of seconds.

Or, instead of giving up and quitting because your city dug a hole for itself and instead of working to get out of the hole, they just dig it deeper. You could take all those pissed off people, all those people who think the way Magnagora is being treated is unfair and make a change IG. The way Malarious puts it, 90% of Magnagora wants to up and leave, well leadership is easily changed by 90% of the populace.
If Magnagora needs a break, it is not the Admin's job to give them event to take a break, it is not Celest's job to offer them a truce. Take some damn initiative and do something for yourselves, other than dig yourself a deeper hole.
Oh, and there are plenty of those original Magnagorans around, and coincidently still going strong causing trouble and complaining about the results.

Its interesting this assumption gives Celest an 'out' to ignore the Supernals. Very cunning.
It is "cunning" I suppose but I don't see it in the same negative light you do. Nor is Celest full on ignoring the Supernals. They are approaching what the Supernals tell them to do in unusual circumstances with a little more reserve. Which would have been nice to have into place before Liam followed Raziela's instructions without pause.
Players SHOULD always have a way to NOT do whatever the denizens they're loyal to tell them to do. If the intent is for players to just be directed like puppets by the admin possessed NPCs then why not just give us all a script with our parts beforehand so we don't need to worry about anything more than saying our lines at the right point in time.
