Restricting Aethersight to same area only... not only is that a ridiculous nerf for a trans skill, what would stop Jumper A from having Friend B monitor Victim C from afar while he hunts them down? Makes the skill pretty pointless, don't you think? You may as well not even have it then, unless you plan to make scrying same area only, too and then where will we be?
Personally, I'd just suck it up and ignore the repetitive scrying, or figure out some kind of temporary gag on it as suggested when they start doing it in rapid succession like that. In situations like these, the offender will more often than not get bored if you don't give them the satisfaction of a response, such as scrying them back, or running to the forums to whine about it. (Oh, hey! Look, an entire thread about it! Lulz!)
Speaking as someone who uses a gem of cloaking in conjunction with Aethersight, as well as an almost OCD habit of scenting (
Totems) in order to avoid people who might have it in for me, I'd rather not have an ability that took me a somewhat considerable amount of time and effort to obtain made significantly less effective. I admit that no one has ever done something like this to me personally, not to that extent anyway, but I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal.

The only way around it is to have all scrying have a 'recovery' period of a 30 seconds (or whatever), but I somehow think players would rather deal with scrying spam than to have scrying limited.
