His claymore probably has 340+ damage, and as a Merian Lord he's probably got 19 Str. Like Desi said, you probably need to raise your hood. Sensitivity could've come into play, not sure.

According to tests Xenthos and I did, as an 18 str Taurian with a 144 dmg klangaxe I hit for 1409 against him and he's an Ascendant Faeling with Trans Resilience, but he wasn't wearing armour. Raifret's numbers look accurate, if you indeed didn't have your hood raised.

I'm about 600% certain if you get hit in the head with a bashing katana for 1287 you either have the WORST robes in the history of mankind AND you forgot to use STEALTH BRACING or you didn't have your hood up. I'm going with the hood.

Also note that he gave him slit throat with the bashing katana on the first assault. I really, really, really think his hood is down.

Not to mention Celestians have the war blessings and so thats +str and damage... perhaps it can be taken into consideration as well?

Perhaps, but that katana has less damage than a broadsword one-hander, barely more precision, and he hit slit + 1300 damage? Heh.

Something about the log doesn't make sense to me. The first swing hit for 1287 but the second swing hit for over 2300? Something is wierd.

First hit was a katana.

I change up weapons all the time, whats wierd about it? Its good to start off a nice wounding regimen, then when you feel wounds are their main priority stick em with a damage. This will either pull them off the wound curing forcing them to sip for damage, which will then make it so (since you have a decent wound buildup) it is easier to stick a behead, amputated limb, etc. Or if they stick to the wound curing, they are not sipping off that damage, and only sparkle/scrolling it. This is a very viable method (unless you are attacking someone with Trueheal, and they haven't been using up power. If they have and you are pretty sure they dont have 10p in the reserve it works fine too)
