Request for a big envoy report

This is just my thougts on it..

Once races and some basics are handled can we have a super envoy report? So we could get things done that rely on other changes and just get everything working over time? Maybe a report each week for a month to get the most needed changes done all at the same time down the line?

Then envoys would just be tweaking things for minor failures in their ideas (wound X is too hard to get, etc).

Would solve alot of 'balance' issues and allow for major changes to things (like songs for bards trying to move away from their original designs..).

Go head comment and such.

Believing that Nihilists are an Aeon class: Priceless
For everything else, there's the Envoys.

Probably be more helpful than the free for all on the Racial testings thread that's starting get some questionable results.

As for Visaeris...stop trolling.

It should be, but envoys dont handle races, its not in our bounds generally.

Visaeris just thinks his opinion is worth something and believes he should be present anywhere I am. Hes the little evil me that hangs out in the corner waiting to claw people.

*noogie Visaeris*

I think I will call him.. mini me? happy.gif

It might not be feasible to do those that fast, at least until you find a way to clone the coders. It would probably go more like this: during this month all regular envoy reports are deferred in favor of envoy reports just about the Mage and Druid classes. Next month, it'll all be Monks, then a month of Guardians and Wiccans, then a month of Bards, then a month of Warriors, and then back to the usual cycle (or better yet, a month focusing on Tradeskills, and a month focusing on Domoths, and a month focusing on Aetherspace, and a month focusing on Nexus Battles, and then back to normal).

(Note: the actual order of classes was chosen randomly. Well, not randomly, I just wanted to see Warriors post a bunch of angry rants. They're so cute when they do that.)

Yay at fixing Domoths!

Yay!

Wait, I'm supposed to be ranting?

Warriors? I just want to be as OP as everyone else, with or without all my super-awesome-rad artifacts.

Isn't meatshield a viable occupation? I mean, you're not actively doing much, but you're doing your part, right?

I thought about that but decided against it because it makes one guild balanced out while leaving others weak, we want to try to keep them at least somewhat on par still. Most changes arent TOO hard, and wouldnt take too long in theory (change a formula, a speed, or a delay on a timer).

Week 1:
Tier 1 changes and bugs

Week 2:
Tier 2/3 changes

Week 3:
Focus on bugs

Week 4: Corrections for what was wrong?

As an example.. not saying thats all possible and such. But some skills might bugs that just hadnt been looked at yet. Changes are basically all tweaks, but give some time for them to be worked on. Tiers obviously mean majorly important.

Making the delay to put up truesight (after the blind strip) a little longer might be top tier so that glamours is usable. While something like trueheal curing not ego might actually fit as a bug in the skill. Etc.

P.S. In theory I believe once races and monks are done we are looking at bug fixes anyway if I recall.

Well, let us know when you've got the coder cloner working, since you're still planning on things going about four times as fast as they do now, with no additional resources. Sounds like the kind of stuff I hear at work. Wait, you're not my boss, are you?

That might explain some things, actually...

I was still in D&D mindset. Hide behind the nice meatshields, children!

While not quite a basin wide guild fix, a special report has been issued.

Please close this topic.

No one was posting here anymore anyway...
Malarious2008-05-17 07:53:11
I also gave a status report that there is another report out.

Cant necro a closed topic though, so it can fall out of sight properly happy.gif
