Because I can, in fact, confirm her, or whoever replaces her. While I do not have any intention of roleclaiming at this stage, I can confirm that I was targetted by a psychologist night 1 and a doctor night 2 (and the doctor's protection saved my life).

I am therefore inclined to believe Thoros, and his claim of a guilty investigation on Xenthos is good enough for me.

Unlikely, Thoros is claiming to see roles not just alignment. Unless bali is rolling a d24 every time he investigates that's unlikely. Also for this to work Thoros would have had to see Celias role as is to confirm hers and not see xenthos' to turn on him.

Shamarah is not really helping himself by defending Celina, if it turns out that thoros is scum, then we will think that celina is scum, and shamarah would be scum by extension

So if I'm interpreting this correctly, there's either a convoluted mafia scheme involving Celina, Thoros, and Shamarah, or that Xenthos' roleclaim and swordsmiting was false. Or that Thoros is inconsistently insane and has the wrong information on Xenthos, in which case we lose a cop.

I'm all for waiting for mod input on whether Xenthos' swordsmite went through. Either way it goes, the targets for voting seem pretty concrete and we gain more information.

Not really convoluted, Celina has made the claims in her post. Shamarah and Thoros haven't done anything but repost what she's said. This could be the mafia erecting a wall of defense.

Thoros has a claim that is quite unusual, he made no mention of the special ability Xenthos has attempted to use which doesn't match up with the role that Thoros claimed he had. If thoros is killed by this ability and revealed as mafia then Shamarah and thoros are dead.

Just so we are clear, it's like a 1.9% for thoros as an inconsistent cop to see the two claims he would _have_ to have gotten correct if he sees any role if it's decided by a roll.

This is my last chance to defend myself, so here me out.

My three investigations were Celina, Xavius and Xenthos in that order.

What I learned about Celina is that she is an innocent townsperson. She is a psychiatrist who can cure a psychopath. When she does so she can convert them into a townsperson. She is also a doctor.

What I learned about Xavius was that he was a famous inventor, and each night he was able to use one of his inventions, be it good or bad; he does not know the effects of the invention until he uses it. The night I investigated him, I also saved his life from the hands of a psychopath. However the following day he died from one of his inventions.

What I learned about Xenthos is that he is neither town or mafia, but part of a cult. Any powers he had I did not learn about through my investigation, though I should have, which leads me to believe his power that he used was fake.

Thus, since I did not learn about this secret power that Xenthos just used, it is a hoax, and Xenthos is attempting to thwart his lynching. I should have learned about the power had I investigated him, no?

This is true but hinges on you not lying to us. If we don't see any response from bali regarding Xenthos using that ability then we may have reason to believe you. If 24 hours were to pass and nothing from bali then we would turn back to xenthos, effectively only buying him one day.

You're notes about these psychopath characters are inconsistent.
Celina says they attack someone who votes for them if they are lynched.
Thoros says they have a night kill which he prevents if he investigates the person.

Celina says she is no longer able to cure at night which means that if Veracruz was the only psychopath Then either
1. Celina is correct and Thoros has lied to us
2. Thoros is correct and Celina has lied to us as well as bali has given the mafia two night kills or some other oddity.
3. They're lying

I saved Xavius via my police training. I did NOT cure the psychopath, I saved Xavius -from- the psychopath.

That is what doctors do, save the person they protect from being killed.

Heh well in this instance I was able to save Xavius with my police training. I did not protect Xavius, I was simply investigating. I was able to protect him at the time because of the psychopath which attempted to murder him.

Well, now two people have confirmed my innocence.

Saran can't read. Shamarah's mental illness resulted in him strapping a bomb to himself and blowing someone up. Veracruz very well may have had a totally different illness. Like I said, he died before I could find out. So, it is the 4th option you covientenly left out...they are both telling the truth.

I still have the majority vote (I think) so why was Xenthos so quick to act and defend himself? The only way you can justify lynching me now is if you think Veracruz, Shamarah, myself, and Thoros are all in the Mafia. According to Okin, Shou is with us too.
