Here is an explanation of cults for those unfamiliar.

We should probably make it our top priority to kill the cult leader before the cult gets too big.

Thanks, Shammy.

That explanation is actually really helpful. I'm sticking with my vote, but now I think I want to go back and reread a few things.

Well I suppose if Celina turns out to be evil anyway, we could always lynch her later

VOTE: XENTHOS

Also, a different finger to Shamarah for immediately attempting to throw suspicion on people who hadn't had chance to get on the forums and vote yet

Way to not read the part where I said "everyone who has posted". As in, everyone who has posted since Thoros's role was revealed.
Arix2008-05-17 21:03:10
Finger of Middle still stands
Arix2008-05-17 21:04:07
Also, do cult members just randomly convert people with no chance for the person to resist? Cuz that'd be pretty lame
Furien2008-05-17 21:07:14
It's impossible to ignore where this one's headed, so...

Someone clarify on the cult issue?
Furien2008-05-17 21:10:20
Afaik, there's no protection, and that assumes that the cult is able to assimilate at all.

If the leader was dropping one person every day into their cult, it could get pretty nasty, fast.

Generally yes, unless the person is a mafia or serial killer (in which case the conversion fails and the recruiter usually dies) or the person has a special role ability allowing them to resist.

At the risk of dying/being lynched again I'm going to open my big mouth.

Haven't done a full read I just want to point somethings out here (correct if wrong)

Lets assume there was on cult leader night 0.
During night 1 and night 2 they successfully recruited two cultists.

-------------------------------------------------

We started with 26 people. That is quite a bit.

Looking over the mafia site most mafia sizes are 3-5 at most. We've got one and we know there is a godfather (who should show up innocent to cops if Bali is going with the standard godfather description.)

So it stands to reason Balizar (being the devious person he is) has at least two separate groups possibly three vying for power.
I base this on the size of the number of people playing.
Which would be 1) the mafia, 2) apparently a cult, 3) some other group.

I say some other group because on night zero and 1 (I think) there were two kills. Sham correct me if I'm wrong but the cult usually doesn't have killer capability. So that leaves a third organization or individual independent of the first two (I hypothesize).

------------------------------------------------

Just some thoughts before I reread Celina's posts.
Kaalak2008-05-17 21:22:59
Oh yeah one other thing. Look at the types of deaths.

Either Balizar is choosing the method of death randomly ( ie stabbing, obliteration, shooting) or they reflect the abilities and possibly affiliation of the murder acting.

Whats interesting is LAST night dimondias (sp) 's body was obliterated. This suggests there was or is a one shot Mafia Cleaner (see the flash site for roles). I suggest one shot because the kills on night zero and night one did not obliterate the body.

Thats a lynch for Xenthos. Quit posting. Give me a few minutes.

Lynch time!

Outraged over the heinous murder of their beloved cop, Edward Hubble, a mob forms searching for the tall man with the sword. Eventually he is found, hiding in some dark alley. The town approaches him, angry and vengeful. He waves his sword madly, trying to fend them off, but to no avail. There are just too many of them. He is gagged and bound and led to the town square.

Placed upon an old guillotine that hasn't seen use since the days of the old west, this strange, blue-tattoo'd man screams and shouts. He fidgets like a madman, trying to escape the clutches of an outraged mob. He fails to do so, though. His head is firmly locked into place by a wooden slat. The blade is old, and rusty. The townsfolk nod solemnly and let it loose.

It comes down upon his neck but does not cut all the way through. It only cut halfway. Blood spurts everywhere, making a gorey mess of the crowd. A man walks up to the device and physically pushes down on the guillotine, cutting off lynchee's head. With a small thud, his head rolls to the ground.

He was...

Xenthos was Slash. A member of the Mystic Trio. Slash had two abilities: SWORDSMITE X, a one-shot day ability that would kill someone instantly. And if he mentioned the word "pyramid" three times in a post, the other two members of the Mystic Trio gained a 50% chance to avoid a lynch.

Amended: The Mystic Trio wins when everyone else is dead.

It is now NIGHT 3.

Send me your night choices.

A crazy night in Kickapoo...

Edgar Hubble was Exeryte. So distraught over the death of his brother, Edward Hubble, he has committed suicide. He was a Mafia goon. He had no special powers except for the ability to communicate with his fellow goons. He was 2nd in line to replace the Godfather.

and...

Shiri, aka Flea, has been shot multiple times. A member of the Mystic Trio, he could REVIVE a person. Also, if he mentioned the word "triangle" three times in a post, the two other members of the Mystic Trio gained a 50% chance at avoiding any nightkills.

and...

Silvanus, aka, Jacky Boy has been fatally wounded by shots from the murderer of Shiri. Silvanus was Pro-Town. He was a hider. Each night, he had to pick someone to "hide" behind. If that person was killed, he would be also. But if he was targetted for an attack, the person he was hiding behind would receive the attack.

and...

Snake, aka, Othero has been stabbed multiple times. Nothing remains of his corpse except a bloodied ragdoll of a human being. He was the Godfather of the Mafia. He was responsible for sending the Mafia's night choice to moderator. Also, he had a one-hit day kill using Veracruz. But since Veracruz died so early, he was never able to use it.

Also:

Diamondais has been REVIVED. She can now post and is back in the game.

It IS NOW DAY 4.

Kaalak2008-05-18 04:39:53
Wow just wow. Kudos Bali. scream.gif
Shamarah2008-05-18 04:40:17
Well.

If Shiri was scum, I think it follows logically that Diamondais is too.

Vote: Diamondais
