A role claim is where you say what your role in the game is...basically, describing your initial PM from the moderator, but no copy and paste.

I kind of agree with Shamarah. It does seem like there are a lot of people who are just urging us to night...and since we've already lost two townies to start...

Well, as I learned it on the first day people put pressure on others in the idea that they will give some information that we can then work with.

Obviously you aren't going to have as much evidence on a day 1 lynch as on, say, a day 4 lynch. And yes, all day 1 lynches are at least partially random. However, if we make an entirely random lynch without first discussing it, we gain nothing from it at all. Take a look at the last game; everyone bandwagoned Celina day 1, and when she turned up townie there was absolutely no information gained because everyone was on the bandwagon anyway. Obviously, it's possible that we'll get lucky and hit scum, but this is unlikely and it's stupid to make a random bandwagon in the hopes that we'll hit a scum. (And even if we do hit a scum, where do we go from there? No one will have been defending them particularly valiantly or anything if it was just a random bandwagon... whereas if there was discussion of the lynch, you could analyze how each player attacked or defended the player being bandwagoned and potentially find more scum that way.)

Information is a very valuable commodity in Mafia, and you get more information from lynch if you have more discussion before it. Therefore, lynching without first talking about it almost always works in favor of the mafia.

I could have shrugged one post like this off, but when you've got two posts in a row asking for a roleclaim from a random bandwagon, it really feels like scum rolefishing for potential cops/doctors.
