So can someone tell me what exactly Catgirl Entourage does? Does it mean I get x2 Ranking XP? That would make getting Top 3 really easy, I think?

x2 ranking experience for parties. Potentially, but you'll still need lots of ryo. I bet doman's shooting himself right now.

Your base level is based on your Bloodline (Legacy people have that eyepatch, so the straw didn't go in very far).
Work that register, register monkey! Maybe you'll figure out the secret behind this seemingly normal burger joint, why you heard that extra 's' up there, and crack the Code of Greass. You put on your crappy uniform (so crappy it isn't even an Item), and trudge into work. Sigh.

Look at the "Current Friend Rankings" page - the people bolded on each list are hanging out with the particular ally. There's some kind of math with the top person that determines how many people hang out, but I forget what it is. So yeah just build up a lot of friend points. Alternatively you can use a Make-Out Mood Enhancer or Floating on Air.
If you're doing this for Outwitting the Best you have to be particularly careful doing it with friend points because if you end up hanging out with one of them but not the other you're totally screwed as hanging out resets your friend points.
