meh I've never been in another village but mine seems kinda lame. It has 68 upgrades which is cool, but 75% tax rate and only 5 items from the storehouse per day (no permanent ones) really hurts. I'm wondering if I should leave and try to find one with less upgrades, but less restrictions too.

Wait for a slot from NerdFury, or help the new village some guy's alt will be founding. In fact, likely slots will open up in Nerdfury when the new village is founded as alts jump ship.
