... hm! Ok, here's the thing. You get lich.

And an edit to my last post for clarity's sake: If the GM artifacts were, in fact, upgraded to allow for a wand-of-visionsesque power, bard guilds would be getting the grand laugh.gif . That was what I meant. I was a little vague the first time. My above sentiment remains the same, though! Nyah!

Ohh... yes, I can see what you mean now! That argument suddenly gained merit!

Well, we're not saying you shouldn't have everything you ever asked for. Just noting that since this was asked for more than three years ago and regularly since then, you might want to consider the second-best solutions while you wait. If it's perfection-or-nothing for you, though, sorry to waste your time, but maybe some of the other approaches posted here could help someone else reading along.

Actually, to reply seriously, I know what you mean. But the bardic illusions are not, at least in my mind, there to give bards alone the best rp tools in the world. They are just charmers and illusionists and create visions and entice sight with them, oft to someone's demise. What we want is rp tools, not a skill that can be applied to anything. We request tools to bring cooler atmosphere to ceremony and tradition in Guilds.

I can see how it can feel like 'stealing your thing' but it's not meant that way at all. I wasn't happy when the peak of Necromantic achievement was given away to 'any filthy serf' either, but it serves a greater purpose. Sure it serves a different one here but I hope it is not viewed by the bards as an attempt to diminish their role (their role not being RP magnats in my eyes).

Erm, take a moment to note please how I thanked everyone for their input and how I said I'll try to make do with the suggestions whilst I pray for a miracle? Thanks.

Begone foul tricksters from this thread! You who have everything the lot of us dreams of at night. You who can make reality come alive with colour and sound at your whim!

Begone! Lest you wish to find thyself pounced on in a dark alley and dragged away against your will, writhing and whining. None shall hear thy pitiful cries whilst your vocal cords are severed with the strings of your own instrument. Begone! Lest you are taken in for an eerie ritual sucking thy skill out of you to satisfy our morbid curiosity, leaving you drained and barren, for dead.

Hi.
That's MY job. Do you see me sacrificing young Ninjakari to the Demon Lords? I think not

Also... oh come on! Can we PLEASE get a help file for all the cool secret upgrades one can get for their Guild? How the Nil are we supposed to know about all that awesome stuff (cool door in guilds, guild expansions, scripted illusions and stuff) without bugging our patrons a LOT. And I don't want to bug Morgfyre, he's insanely busy enough as is without my myriad of questions sad.gif

Re: Guildhall upgrades

Here's a few examples I can think of

1) The Paladins have a window you can probe hidden in a room description. The same way quest things are hidden in a room.

2) The Celestines have a special memorial bookshelf that is visible in the room (blue text). This is located outside the guildhall
in the Collegium though. If you probe it there is a bigger description too.

3) I believe at one time the aquamancers (I think) either massively upgraded their guildhall or got price quotes on a bunch of upgrades so you may want to have an OOC chat with the admin/gm/whomever. I think there was a special room discussed or something.

If memory serves there should be a scroll for this with prices/materials still recorded.
