I wouldn't call denizen damage "random." Sure there is some variation in their damage, but it's not random. Anyways, I quoted the average examples I encounter. Sometimes they do more, sometimes they do less. I've even noticed attacks where they literally do 0 damage, though not often.

That is random.

Hmm.

Kephera > Bashara

I've never encountered a mob that actually does 0 damage. That would probably be regeneration ticking.
Doman2008-05-18 18:02:51
yeah, that has to be regen

Some have attacks that only do an affliction, and no actual damage otherwise. Like when parasites knockdown, they only knockdown and don't do any damage. And I'm pretty sure fesixes and eagles on Astral don't do any damage when they deafen you. She might also be thinking of one of these instances without realizing that it is supposed to do no damage.

The kephera attack that puts the target to sleep does not do any damage.

Hrm, that doesn't sound quite right, but I know that the one where they do something like 'punch a jagged hole in your flesh', that does 0 damage but causes some bleeding. I think all that Celina means to say is that yes, the damage is slightly random, but they have different attacks in that certain attacks (such as the axekick one) has a higher range, and thus is not random as it generally does more than other attacks.

From memory, the sleep attack doesn't do damage. And eagles do damage on deafen. Mitrans don't when fearing.

The kephera sleep attack -does- do damage.
Rika2008-05-21 09:27:16
Hrm, guess it does then. I haven't hunted kephera in a loooong time.
