well, i was refering to the sales tax, like going to buy something from a gas station or somewhere like Wal-Mart. the sales tax is ungodly, but then again, it's not exactly too bad as some places, no doubt.
You're about to receive a rude awakening as to what taxes really are. Sales tax. Psh.

It helps if you just keep in mind Colorado only really has three seasons. Winter, Summer, and Fall. When someone says its "spring" what they're really saying is you can go snowboarding in a t-shirt. And you'll notice when summer gets here. Er, you have invested in some good sunscreen right?
Kaylee2008-05-27 06:31:28
psh there's totally spring and fall, their temperatures just arent that much different then summer, but its more beautiful those times of year.
And you forgot another season, Construction. they never stop
As for sunscreen, I need none, I'm an agoraphobic hermit and I never leave my hole.

Hrm, I moved here in march of this year (got here on March 7th, in the apartment on the 8th) As for blizzards, I'm still waiting for the "huge freeze" during the actual winter months (however many there may be). Thanks for the 'warning'

Invested in sunscreen? I remember a time when the most 'popular' sunscreen was 10, 15, and 20spf. Now, I'm seein 60, 70, and I believe 85spf. First thing that popped in my head was "What the heck!?). Have I invested in any? Nope. I'm a glutton for punishment sometimes :3

Hehe, reminds me of a friend of mine who lives in texas, which I lovingly called "The Hermit". When she went to college in my area, she never left her dorm room. It was cute

Well you're a lot closer to the sun now so you can get very easily burned if out hiking or biking which people do here a lot, so we have some pretty hardcore sunscreen heh We also on occasion have UV warnings, when we get a thinner then usual ozone layer above us and the UV rays are much much stronger and you can get serious burns that can make you sick if you're no careful but those don't happen very often. A couple times a year maybe.
Outdoors and real life is for pansies!! I'm too hardcore for that mess

Your nose will be eternally red if you don't wear sunscreen on your face all the time. Trust me.

I love Fort Collins, go there at least once a month, so I can see the mountians. I am away on the east side still, out on the plains.

I'm in Denver, I went to CSU though and am a fan of FoCo

Last time I went to Colorado I fell off of a mountain and broke my leg. Haven't been since, but that was almost 10 years ago and I was a little kid then.
I envy those of you that are close to Denver because all of the good tours go to Chicago/Detroit, then to Denver, both of which are out of my range of convenient travel.

My sister fell, coming off the Tooth once, we had to carry her a long way, thankfully it was only a sprain, but still not much fun. I don't get to do much hiking anymore, but found the Rockies to be the best to explore when I was in my hiking days. I think the only time I was in Denver for anything that consists of a pleasure visit, was a family trip to the zoo this last year.
