I personally just outright eliminated the need for being "careful" and made it totally idiot-proof. I have two separate scripts, one that highlights in big angry red with a crosshairs (ok, not really a crosshairs, but it's big and angry) and a separate one exclusively for highlighting, because highlighting is so freaking useful for everything. Also, you should probably add in a safety to make it such that you will not autoswing unless you explicitly turn it on, and then it turns itself off immediately after you kill whatever you were killing.

If we want to ban something like Ethelons (and plenty of others) 'Autobashers' which just keep swinging on recovery of balance/equilibrium I say we ban 'autoharvesters' (for example) too. Lets see how that goes! 
They aren't what the actual Admin definition of an Auto-whatever is, because to be what they define as bad they need to completely move you around or allow for you to be able to walk away from the computer, leave it to do what you need and come back completely rich or level 100.

But just to clarify! Auto-bashing isn't illegal if it's a toggle. I'm guessing (because this is the way it is for me, too), that Bellarin has to type in an alias to turn on the auto-basher, start the attack, and then has to also move rooms/change targets to keep going, which isn't illegal by IREs definition. Making a script to loop killing x amount of mobs, targetting this mob, going to each room and killing a bunch of mobs, -that- would be illegal since you can just walk away from your comp and make lots of money/exp.
That being said, I did that to lanikai once - scored an oblit crit, then an annih crit before I could register to do BOFF on the system.
Still paying for that mistake. Doh.
