Does sulfur have any use besides vials of sulfur and maybe some odd jewelry designs?

Can we add it to some things.. like.

AB ALCHEMY FERTILIZER

ALCHEMY - FERTILIZER

Syntax: SPRINKLE FERTILIZER
Amalgamation Cost: 1 percent of power reserve.
Enhance the properties of simple sulfur to increase plant growth in the room. Lasts one Lusternian . Additionally all herbs in the room will not suffer the effects of ill grounds.

Ingredients: sulfur 10

NOTE: Should this also stack on top of growth? This would greatly increase growth rates I think.

Ill grounds refers to demesnes killing them, as the sulfur is a special power enhanced blend.

This would help get rid of sulfur, give it a good use, and be an aide for herbalists.

Isn't sulfur used to break shields?

My own idea would be to let you sprinkle sulfur on sigils to disable them for x time.

doesn't salt kill plant life? and strip neutrients?
Malarious2008-06-03 07:32:26
Sulfur is used in fertilizer.

Disabling sigils would be interesting too.

It CAN break shields but no one uses it for that, they either have the skill or if they actually have a balance bonus tend to have raze. Theres a reason like no shops carry sulfur.. it doesnt sell.

We need stinkbombs.
and it should be needed for preserving food
and, and, should be used for ritualism stuff!

I like that idea.

He said it because you have listed Alchemy - Salt

Then Sprinkle Fertilizer.

Which would mean someone would ask because salt is not a fertilizer. You use salt when you want to kill things.

We already have them. Sulfur is I believe an ingredient in the stink traps (and I'm a Tracker... shows you how long it's been since I had a use for those). And I like the ritual idea.

THROW SALT AT EYES should cause blindness, imo.

As for the Sulfur, what would the opposite be for Salt?

SPRINKLE LOLURPLANTSRDEADNAO ?
Celina2008-06-03 19:32:02
Wait, I was pretty sure sulfur kills plant life. Hence why nothing grows around geysers.

Sulfur also breaks shields and uses balance instead of eq. I used it and salt as a faeling pre nerf.

Sulphur (note the correct spelling tongue.gif) is harmful to plants in high levels..but neccessary for growth etc. farmers can fertilise with sulphur in v.small amounts. So..in moderation it is beneficial

There you go smile.gif

Both spellings are correct.

heh my apologies next time I'll not stop with the tongue.gif emote but add say -xinemus- or WARNING (BRITISH SPELLING BANTER) at the botttom

Dirty...Brit... pissed.gif

Unfortunately, and I mean unfortunately, since I LIKE the sulphur spelling, even Brittan has officially switched to Sulfur, owing to the standardization of many scientific phrases. Which is odd, since the Americans still use imperial measurements instead if good old SI units

That's because we know that if we try, hillbillies in rusty pickup trucks waving Confederacy flags will have ho-downs on Capitol Hill until the government has no choice but to reverse it.

Canada still uses it. We're still cool. female.gif

Woah, no, Britain has not switched to sulfur. It's still sulphur.

Also, yes on Shuyin's idea.
Twilxo2008-06-04 02:31:39
They have, actually. Though most people in Britain still use suphur, officialy, and scientifically, they use sulfur, as ordained by the Royal Society of Chemistry in 1992, and the Qualifications and Curriculum authority in 2000.

So, basically, you're an old fogey who sticks by antiquated spellings!
Shiri2008-06-04 02:33:25
...I'm 19, dude. I still say sulphur. My OED says sulphur. The word is sulphur.
