The surrounding shadows convulse, reaching outward in joyful anticipation as
Nocht, the Silent steps forth from the aether.
Emar bows respectfully to Nocht.
You bow respectfully to Nocht.
look nocht
He is a radiant immortal and alternately imposing and unassuming as He lingers
in the shadows, bringing the fabric of darkness to life with His very presence.
The stark ebony of His skin is unblemished and smooth, from the aristocratic
contours of His face to the slender, musician's hands. Long white hair curls
slightly near His ears, surrounded with an effervescent glimmer like starlight.
The only colour in His stoic countenance, His eyes are a clear, ethereal blue,
each pupil rimmed in a golden starburst which makes His silent, thoughtful gaze
appear to pierce to the very soul. He is wearing a symbol of the Night, divine
garments of black silk, and a cloak woven from pure shadow.
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I am not familiar with these... ceremonies."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "What is it you wish of Me exactly?"
You say to Nocht, "Typically, my Lord, some words are given regarding the
circumstance of the marriage, and what is the greater purpose."
You say, "Which, of course, is quite plain. Unity in service to Yourself, the
Glomdoring, Mother Night and Brother Crow."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I see.."
His head bowed, Druid Lord Emar K'Raven, the Eye of Crow says, "My Lord, perhaps
my betrothed speaks out of turn... My greatest desire was that perhaps You would
marry us. I would not expect the Silent Lord to perform the ceremony when I am
sure there is much more demanding of Your attention than us."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Ahem... Well then.."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Perhaps you two shall speak your love for each
other then. It is, perhaps, the one thing you would know better than I."
The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Nocht's lips.
You purse your lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as you carefully
gather your thoughts.
The shadows surrounding Nocht churn quietly, obscuring His face even more.
You say, "As you would have it, my Lord."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "Or you can seek another, little ones. I am not used
to speaking on... such topics, I am afraid."
You say to Nocht, "I do assure You, it is not such a vain emotion as unbridled
lust, which is so common amidst those who do not serve the greater purposes of
the Glomdoring."
You say, "If there is such thing as... love, it is synonymous with dedication."
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "I never suspected it was, Ashai."
You smile softly.
You say, "There is but devotion to the Glomdoring, to Your Daughter. In the
Eye's eyes, I see but a mirroring of that very relentless commitment."
Druid Lord Emar K'Raven, the Eye of Crow says, "In which case, my dear Ashai,
our dedication and Silence speaks more than we can muster for any vow."
Druid Lord Emar K'Raven, the Eye of Crow says to Nocht, "My Lord, would You do
us the great honour of wedding us together?"
You have earned the blessing of the Elder Gods!
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "So it is done."
Emar smiles softly.
Emar bows respectfully to Nocht.
You bow respectfully to Nocht.
Nocht, the Silent whispers, "May your union make you even stronger, little
ones."
Druid Lord Emar d'Murani, the Eye of Crow smiles and says, "Thank You, my Lord."
The surrounding shadows wane, falling back in despondent melancholy as Nocht,
the Silent fades seamlessly into the aether.
Midnight shadows coalesce around a new day, and Mother Night embraces the land
in utter darkness.
It is now the 19th of Roarkian, 207 years after the Coming of Estarra.

I MISSED IT! WHAT!
Urazial2008-06-01 02:20:41
Missing Emar's wedding makes me upset!
Ashai2008-06-01 02:25:16
Because, clearly, everyone should have the right to attend a private, spur-of-the-moment wedding with a recluse divine?
Urazial2008-06-01 02:32:38
Exactly!
Celina2008-06-01 02:33:33
Secret d'Murani weddings?! I'm going to punch you in the nose!
Daereth2008-06-01 03:27:38
I feel cheated! You should be ashamed of yourself for denying me my right to make amusing comments about you during you're vows.
Nocht2008-06-01 17:23:11
Lesson of the week, little ones: Don't expect a flashy wedding from Nocht.
Don't expect much at all from Nocht when it comes to a wedding...

Emar2008-06-01 17:39:50
I thought it went really well! Especially considering we sprung it on you like that. Better I think than anything flashy, and definitely far more poignant.
I don't think Ashai or Emar were expecting anything verbose from the Silent Lord.
