When did Arix say he had powers? Did I just miss that or something?

He hasn't said anything definitive either way. It's been a lot of "hmdm"ing and nothing definitive and that's part of my irritation.

I'm a townie, do you REALLY think Xavius would give me powers? Use your brain.

I never claimed vanilla, I claimed pro-town.

Shiri2008-06-10 01:26:33
And Rauros, what are you doing with your vote if not voting Casilu? Arix is sitting there with either 1 or 2 left to go depending on if you believe Casilu or not and he isn't likely to come up with a better roleclaim than he did at 7 at this point.

Patience, Rainbow Brite. I'll vote when I please. I don't need you to tell me when to vote.
Shiri2008-06-10 01:55:12
So of the people still not voting, minus Rauros since he's being weird about it, we have Exeryte, Rika, Shayle and Silvanus.
Exeryte2008-06-10 03:00:00
Alright, I'm going to Vote: Visaeris.

For one thing, he seems way too excited to lynch Arix. My other reason is very shaky, and I acknowledge that - Ayisdra and Visaeris were both looking at each other's profiles. I know Casilu, Othero, and I all checked out each others' profiles in the last game, and I realized it would potentially be a dead giveaway if anyone noticed (even if I'm usually invisible).

So FOS: Ayisdra as well. She's doing a good job at hiding in the background right now either way.

I'm not going to vote for Arix because he honestly seems like a townie. He's learning and will probably stop the random speed-voting he was doing last game.

By way of explanation, I have an abundance of freetime (hence the superposting) and I don't like Arix and think he's a censor.gif , especially after the stuff that went down last game. So yes, I fully admit I'd like to get rid of him because I think letting him stay until the endgame will work heavily against the town. I don't deny that I'd like to get rid of him even if he is a townie.

As for the profile thing, that is a pretty creative bit of evidence, I've been using the profile as the easiest way to check out people's posts in this thread, since a lot of the participants aren't posting elsewhere. Those that are I do a manual search for. You're overthinking it a bit, son tongue.gif

Normally scum can only communicate during the night, I think? Everyone can here. So going to profiles is not good evidence of anything - and if it was something like that they'd want to be contacting the other scum too, not just each other. This also means it's unlikely we have masons in this game, but not totally impossible (since they'd still know each other's identities.)
Arix2008-06-10 03:35:11
They might have a group that fills the mason role but goes under a different name to fit the theme

Well, yes, but half the point of "mason role" would be cut out (able to communicate) because, well, they can already communicate.
As mentioned though, it's not totally implausible. But I wouldn't rely on profile-viewing to establish it anyway.
Arix2008-06-10 03:37:53
Who all hasn't posted recently?

I think profile viewing's still a pretty sketchy form of evidence anyhow. But my personal perspective on the matter probably makes it sound a bit biased since Exeryte's using it to try and finger me.
Arix2008-06-10 03:41:00
It's terrible evidence. I've been using the profiles to see who isn't posting too
Shiri2008-06-10 03:41:55
Right. Profile-viewing may (reasonably) SPARK a suspicion, but there's three problems with using it as evidence.
1. Can't talk during day, and this is a day start.
2. Ayisdra is kind of a newbie. I might be curious to see what's in her profile and I'm not connected with her at all (I haven't checked it yet but whatever.)
3. Do people even use profile view to PM? I just find a place I know they posted and click on their name from there.
Exeryte2008-06-10 03:44:39
No one's going to hop onto my bandwagon. sad.gif

It's not the best evidence, but better than what the rest of you have against Arix, in my opinion. Then again, I might really be overanalyzing this.
Shiri2008-06-10 03:46:15
If you're avoiding slaying Arix, Casilu seems to be the next best target, not Visaeris for posting a lot.

... have you completely forgotten our discussions last game where we were watching profile views to get some kind of pattern? You asked me then if people used it for messages, and I said some did. We actually did find two potential blocs that way, too... we were just killed off before we could determine which of the two was the scum group.

I didn't think your memory was quite THAT bad.

It's pretty decent evidence, truth be told. I can see how my posting would lead people to think I'm scum. But I like this game and I have a lot of free time, hence the posting. Make of it what you will. This is the last time I'll mention it in an attempt at defending myself, as I think I've been pretty thorough in my explanation.

Honestly I have this sinking feeling I'm gonna catch a NK from some pissed off scum for making myself a super target with all this posting.

Okay, so checking up on the people listed, here is what I found:

Exeryte posted recently, twice. He is not lurking, he just has a different schedule.
Rika posted a few times, voted and unvoted Shiri, and has been quiet ever since.
Shayle HAS made a few posts, no votes, but she did FOS a few people, namely Shamarah, Rauros, and Shiri
Silvanus voted for Shiri, but changed it because he figured someone would investigate him, and has not been heard from since.

Hope this helps
Arix2008-06-10 03:52:25
And Shiri, do you HAVE to use that horrible shade of blue?
