I'm just trying to figure out if there was a bit of a sarcastic/snide tone to that "We shall miss you," or if it was meant seriously.
He's just grieving, like the rest of us, as this shows there's someone, or someones, amongst us willing to kill to quell our rebellion. We must find them and staple them, before we're all killed.
I don't know who to trust right now. I need some coffee. We have coffee right?

(Ok, I wasn't here as you could see yesturday, I have a college orientation to go to that lasted all day and up til noon today. Anyway I'm back now. and I am a guy....)
That would be good, Shiri, if there is no vig/SK one less thing we need to worry about. and if there is, then we have a good doctor as well.

Vigs are on our side, fyi.
And I read Diamondais' thing as fairly innocent. She just talks like that.
Also, I just figured out that Shamarah probably got info on dead people. This essentially "confirms" him and Arix though normally he'd have had to persuade us or reveal himself. Of course, that does us bugger all good now.
Shayle2008-06-11 01:57:16
So we get Arix's role after Shamarah is found dead...
And we don't get Shamarah's role yet?
Alrighty. I'm going to just openly voice that I am really really confused right now. Why was Shamarah compiling Arix's life history?

Good to know I always come across as semi-sarcastic.
Shayle2008-06-11 02:00:37
Having read Shiri's speculation...
Does that mean that we'll not know the roles of any dead people from now on? Cause that will be...difficult.

I think Rainbow Brite is on to something, regarding Shamarah's role. He probably had some ability to check dead people's identity, but, as Rainbow Brite said, it does us a lot of good now.

We can surmise Shamarah's role from his printout of Arix's role (i.e that he printed out other people's roles.) I might be assuming too much but I doubt it. We'll find out tomorrow if nothing else.
So, who do we vote today? I'll go with Rika if nothing else.

Bah, stupid Arix. Should've just roleclaimed and it would've made life much easier for everyone. Guess he wasn't lying :\\
In any case.. Only one kill leans me towards the absence of a vig/SK, simply because statistically what're the odds of the doc protecting the right person.. 1/17 is pretty long chances. Shamarah going is also a pain in the ass, because he's a smart player.
I'm left wondering about Casilu though.. Again she plays a prominent role in the flavour text, and she seemed to know that it'd only take 9 votes.
I'd really like an explanation for that knowledge, Casilu. I don't know that it sets off alarm bells but... it's curious.

Oh, wow. I still do not really have anyone in mind as being scum. The digital world kind of subdues my gut feeling, but the day is young. How reliable would the voting patterns be for those who voted Arix to be stapled?

I don't know a lot about Shamarah, but he is (was?) a smart guy, so he probably investigated Arix because of the way he was acting. If Arix had a role, he would've role claimed, so it was looking really suspicious that he was mafia.
I'm thinking he had the ability to investigate live and dead persons, as I can't think of any reason why being alive would prevent him from investigating them.

Not very, since it's over half the people for starters. The fact he turned up town isn't that incriminating given the reasons anyway.

My instinct is that if someone was saved by the doctor tonight then it was Casilu. Knowing that we would only need nine votes definitly makes her a target.

I think it was just all the ninja posts before Xavius posted the vote counts. I thought Arix was at 8 votes, so I didn't think my vote would be the one to lynch him. I'm gonna go back and re-count.

That makes sense. I also have a strong suspicion she's a townie. I am confident that she influenced the vote rather than somehow knowing someone else influenced the vote (though it could be a lopsided mason thing), and I doubt scum would have this power though it's not impossible. She's not completely in the clear because either of those two assumptions could be wrong, but I do think we ought to consider someone else for now.

After talking with you last night, I'm willing to go with this line of reasoning. Who's your proposed target and why?
Unknown2008-06-11 02:15:56
It may have been just an assumption on her part. either way I agree she is a poor target, I think she is town. Add that to she is playing different this game then last game when she was mafia.

I don't have any particularly obvious ones. Two that come to mind: Silvanus and Rika. Rika is, now that I think of it, probably less suspicious than Silvanus (going off men's intuition again here!) Check out Silvanus' previous posts to me where he advocates lynching me because I'm a high-priority target for the mafia...or something. Rika's thing is way back on the 1st or 2nd page. Also, who's the least active? Exeryte, Revan and Shayle have all been posting at least a little bit I think...
Othero: there's almost no way she "just guessed" it. Either she influenced it, or she had reason to believe it was influenced by someone else.
