God damn you Shiri.

You and your colors both.
Shiri2008-06-14 08:23:35
Maybe you should use a white/light blue background like everyone else!

That aside, what do you think of Rika and her claim? You didn't really say.
Shayle2008-06-14 12:25:32
Colors Colors Colors...

Rika appears to -have- a color. Sylvanis also seems to have one. Revan definitely has one.

I don't. Shiri has responded to me in various colors. What is the pattern people? What's the deal? Could Shiri be part of a mason group? Or maybe he knows more than the rest of us about certain people?

Them more he says -not- to read into colors, the more I tend to think we should... unsure.gif
Shiri2008-06-14 12:37:11
I think I've stated pretty much everything I know vis. certain people except, of course, myself. That being the case: what are we going to do about Rika? Silvanus and Rika are now both down as having semi-convincing or better roleclaims to cover up for their scummy behaviour (Rika still needs to name the townie when she gets up tomorrow though, I've explained why and it helps us more than it helps the scum.) Visaeris jumping on various people in order wasn't particularly wrong. Galaphyrae has started posting again. Casilu isn't even on the hook. My next guess would be Revan and his notoriously unreliable "gut" and "judge of character."

I'm sorry, everyone, but I have to work today, so I really don't have time to play catch up. I'll be back later tonight to read all the replies. Until then, Unvote: Duke.
Diamondais2008-06-14 13:36:33
Uh. I still have no idea who to vote for. confused.gif
Diamondais2008-06-14 14:02:38
Okay, I have to vote now because I wont be back until well after midnight tonight (Work, and then social life for once). I don't necessarily trust Rika, and I think I'd prefered her strapped to the staple rather than dead.

Vote: Rika
Shiri2008-06-14 14:07:51
If you're gonna lynch her, give her time to name her supposed townie investigation victim. That way if she gets hit by the deadline and turns out to be town somehow, we at least have another person for the doctor to protect and to add to the "safe" list.
Xavius2008-06-14 14:35:48
Nope. That's a lynch. Voting ends.

The mood in the convention hall is distinctly violent. At the first perceived slight, Silvanus gets hauled off to the second MMIRU. "Guys, guys, wait!" he insists as his feet get strapped to the table. "Freedom, equality, and prosperity facilitated by technology! Freedom, equality, and prosperity facilitated by technology! I know the creed! I'm one of you!" The mob hesitates for a moment. Silvanus doesn't wait for the mob to properly clear his name; he undoes his own foot straps in the small window of opportunity and dashes off to hide under a table at the far corner of the room.

The thoughtful moment doesn't last long. "Duke!" The flamboyant Shiri points and shrieks. "Duke! He'th too quiet!"

Exeryte puts him in an impressive martial arts headlock and starts to drag him over to the MMIRU. Silvanus peeks his head out from under the table and joins in. "Duke! Duke!" He glances askance, hesitates a moment, then crawls out to sit on top of the table in the corner.

Duke kicks ineffectively and tries to squirm away. "Wait, wait! I'm not hiding! I'm just thinking! Put me doooowwwwn!"

Rika moves to block Exeryte's path to the table. "Hold on. You can't staple everyone that the flaming fag shrieks about," she quips with a grin.

The room grows quiet and uneasy as everyone turns to look at Rika. Visaeris is the first to speak. "Freedom, equality, and prosperity, right? That doesn't sound like freedom and equality." Rika starts to make her way towards Silvanus's corner. The NAWO's creed moves through the crowd in a low murmur. Freedom, equality, and prosperity facilitated by technology. The mob starts towards Rika, and she turns, sprints, and leaps up onto the table behind Silvanus.

The mob quickly surrounds Silvanus and Rika. One by one, people start decrying Rika as a spy and traitor. Rika doesn't believe in the rebellion. Rika doesn't take it seriously. Rika's just playing a game. Revan reaches for her ankle, and she jumps back and presses herself hard into the corner. "Silvanus, help me!" she cries. Silvanus looks back, frowns, opens his mouth as if to say something, but stops when he looks back at the mob. He hangs his head and scoots aside. She screams and starts to look around the room in a panic. "Silvanus! No! Why won't you help me!?" The mob yanks her down from the table and starts to carry her off. Staring intently at Silvanus, she yells, "It could have been you!"

Quickly, anger gives way to hopelessness. "Shiri," she says, "you know I didn't mean it, right? I was just teasing you. I've always teased you." Shiri stops, but makes no motion to save her. "Wait, wait, I'm a therapist! I know things about people! I can learn more!"

"Who? Who do you know about?" Shiri steps forwards, back at the edge of the lynching mob.

She frowns, but shakes her head. "I won't say. Not while there are men with guns."

"Rika," Shiri says, "we need to know thith."

She scowls. "Look. No. I can tell you that the person I talked to was one of us. I can tell you that he was a bit paranoid, like someone who watches out for other people." She narrows her eyes at Shiri. "And I won't say, because I'm a better friend than you!" A teardrop rolls down her cheek, and she stops talking.

"She's not talking," says Diamondais. "She's useless. Useless or lying. Strap her down."

Shiri starts to push forward. "No, wait, let her t..."

"Do it!" demands Casilu, and the mob pushes Shiri back out of the way. Rika goes limp on the table, sobbing quietly as she is strapped in. Even her whimpers are subdued as the incision and holes are cut into her forehead. A look of utter despair crosses her eyes as she catches a glance of the two-pronged metal probe. She clenches her eyes shut as the machine operator walks towards her. With a sharp push, the staple is pushed into Rika's brain, and Rika sobs one last time.

All emotion leaves Rika as the nerve stapler is turned on. Her eyes fly open, her back arches, and she screams behind her leather gag. The machine clicks, and she falls back in violent convulsions. Click. She arches up and screams, more pained than before. Click. She collapses on the table and convulses subtlely like Arix on the next table.

Shiri stands off to the side, covering his mouth. Casilu gives his shoulder a gentle squeeze. "It's ok, Shiri. You did what you had to do."

Shiri turns and walks out. "Bed," he says, and nothing else.

It is now night 2.

EDIT: Little reminder--Rika, Shamarah, and Arix cannot be spoken to at night. They're otherwise occupied.

Rika2008-06-14 19:36:52
I hate you all!
Xavius2008-06-14 20:46:26
New rule: Shiri must vote and unvote in dark colors on separate lines from the rest of his paragraph. And apologies to Rika. I'd undo the lynch if I hadn't already started processing night choices.
Arix2008-06-14 22:34:16
Someone give me a pair of maracas sos I can convulse wildly...with style!
Xavius2008-06-15 02:49:40
Shayle walks in to the full room with a bright smile and a big stretch. "Good morning, world!" she chirps. The other fifteen people in the room heave a simultaneous sigh of relief. Shayle blinks. "What's up?"

"We..." Shiri stops, blabbers senselessly for a moment, catches his breath, then starts again. "We thought you were dead. You were the last one."

"Oh." Shayle ponders for a moment. "So, no one died?"

"We're all here!"

It is now day 3. Private discussion ends.
Furien2008-06-15 02:52:15
Uhhh. unsure.gif
Furien2008-06-15 02:52:49
Actually, now that I think about it, whoever the doctor is must have protectd someone. There'd be no reason to not do a nightkill. Durh.
Shiri2008-06-15 02:54:10
Well, sucks that we lynched Rika before she could say anything (apparently Xavius failed) but at least no one died during the night, which means either a doctor did his job or there's a roleblocker out there.
Unknown2008-06-15 02:54:14
Huh. Well.. That's... unexpected. And we still don't know what Shamarah/Rika were.. So..
Unknown2008-06-15 02:54:27
So no Night kill and we have no idea who we have been killing. This gives us... nothing?
