I just looked through my files and evidently I didn't save it. My zMUD's been crashing on me lately and I thought I got a save buffer of the conversation Bali and I had in tells.

Failing a log, I'll just give a recounting.

Essentialy, Balizar told me I could trust him, tried to convince me to roleclaim. He told me if I roleclaimed to him, he'd roleclaim to me, and we could team up and form a voting bloc I gave him a deceptive roleclaim(stated I was something I'm not) and he said something along the lines of "Why do you lie to me?".

I told him I'd think about giving him my real role, went to have lunch, came back and told him that it wasn't happening. He put a bit more pressure to me, so I brought it up on Bellator as a form of insurance: By revealing he and I had spoken clandestinely, it ensured that if I were to get disappeared, there'd be a trail leading back to him. Self-protection.

He panic'd, fearing that the admission would bring the mafia down on him and so on(hence why I wasn't in a rush to post the log or even delve into detail.. Thanks Xenthos for ruining that ), and admitted he had just been screwing with me. Knowing that he is a total moron, I'm inclined to believe him. I don't see any reason to believe that he's not on the up and up, nor do I see any evidence that could lead us to conclude that it was anything more than him trying to build his own little alliance for protection.

I've progressed my research a bit on Arix first, working with what I could glean from his mind. When Rika was Stapled, I took a scan of her too. It's a rather recent development, losing Shamarah made it necessary to progress as such.

That's certainly interesting, but what does the scan reveal specifically?

She seems to be a corpse-investigator of some sort herself, or maybe a doctor based on how she was analyzing brain staples? Still makes little sense.

Sorry, I'm tired. Things aren't coming out right. I can scan people who are strapped into the Staple and glean information on them, name, personality, job, etc.

So did you get any information from this? Why has it not really been shown to any of us? It does all seem important as we have no idea who people have been so far.

She is alleging, from what it sounds like, to have taken over the role that Shamarah possessed and can analyze things from the MMRUI-staple thingie. I think we'll need more proof, though.
