As far as I'm aware, I can still plant ears, however it seems more important to scan the Stapled people.
And yes, your fault for asking me and hounding me since last night.
And yes, your fault for asking me and hounding me since last night.
Why is it more important to scan the stapled people? We've already lost them. It can still be helpful to know who was bandwagoning to kill whom (anyone who starts a vote against a scum and sticks with it, for example, is probably safe) but "planting ears" has a higher likelihood of actually finding a scum directly, or at least confirming someone else's innocence.Hrm.
As for the hounding: sorry! I wasn't sure how much to trust your "I'm really tired and confused" roleclaim, 3AM or otherwise. I guess I won't overestimate your lucidity in future.

I am going to vote: Revan. I'm aware that there is a good case against Alianna as well, but of the two, Revan is the one who is striking me as the more suspicious. I'm grateful that Visaeris cleared up that whole thing between him and Bali (though I wish the log still existed), but I'd still like to hear from Revan about his Casilu comment.

Shiri, as a note. It's my own comment to say you're paranoid, which I thought would've been apparent with my joking around you liked watching yourself.
And don't even consider I'm lucid at 1-3am in the morning, I used to be pretty okay with it and sucky in the morning but that's kinda reversed.

Oh, and for as the why I thought it more important to check out stapled people.. Well. We wanted to know their roles.
I'll probably vary between what I do at night, providing I survive now.

In a previous life I was an expert on mind-machine interfacing, and some of my previous prototypes have actually been wired to my brain. This just gives me hightened sensory perception, but it's best only on hearing. I can also plant a set of remote ears to extend my range of hearing, and I did this on the first night on Shiri because I was curious about what someone so colourful and right out and out there would be doing at night. Shiri was entirely paranoid that night and set up security camera's around himself, either that or he liked the look of himself! ( ) and then he removed them during the day. We strapped Arix into the machine, and I've been looking over him since. Then Shamarah died and it seemed I needed to step up my research and learned I'd be able to scan for people's identity and personality as long as they were stapled, hence my comment I'd rather Rika stapled then dead. I can't do anything about the dead, they have no brain functions.
Hmrhm. Does that make Shiri some sort of hider-hybrid? Like maybe he's an investigator that will get a hit if the person he targets goes after him? That is very interesting. Closed circuit television.
So, if you could clarify, you have two abilities? One being setting up remote ears on a targetted person, essentially investigating any conversation or actions on their part. The second is a bit unclear. Assuming Shamarah was a corpse-investigator, does that make you his back up?
Also, I wish the lot of you would unvote Revan. He's town! I know some of you voting for him are probably scum, but when the word comes around that he's town (if he's dead, and assuming Diamondais isn't lying) the people who voted for him are going to be in a steaming pile of doo-doo. At least let him roleclaim before Casilu votes for him and a ninja lynch occurs.
Diamondais2008-06-15 16:19:18
To clarify (Again), I can plant ears on someone at night to 'hear' what they do -or- I can scan the brains of those stapled to see their roles or personalities.
I do not know Shiri's personality or identity. I just know what I saw he did that night. I don't know what Shamarah did, I assume he could investigate stapled people, no idea if he could check the dead, and I can't check because he is dead. I'm assuming that Shamarah was the investigator because I only got the power after he died.

Well that's very interesting...

It'd make sense there would be a backup townie corpse investigator (or forsensic scientist, probably what Xavius would have called it) in a game where role-reveals aren't mandatory.
Ayisdra2008-06-15 16:43:21
With what little we have to go on still, what exactly are you expecting me to say, when it has already been said? I'm still confused as why Diamondais roleclaimed, but it seems it was a mistake. Revan's 'gut' comment is bad as there was some reasoning posted all already (not much but some).
Diamondais's role is indeed a power-role, which is usefull to us in finding the scum. We not finding out the dead people's roles is really hindering this process of finding the scum. If Xavius told us what it was we probably could have more to go on then this 'day 1 voting' style.
As it stands I will hold my vote until more comes up.

You know what I haven't seen recently. A post from Silvanus. Silvanus. Why don't you talk to us
Revan2008-06-15 22:44:12
It's really amusing how shiri's taking my "gut feeling" stuff into question, when really it's absolutely no better than anything he's coming up with. Stop grasping at straws, Shiri. Instead of freaking out because I happen to have a good judge of character, go look at the people who are being obvious scum... such as Furien. "Oh noes he said gut feeling! Bad man! strawman!" Please, I know you're more intelligent than that, Shiri, so act like it
Revan2008-06-15 22:50:24
Also, I want to state why I'm not scum: I've been posting quite a bit with helpful info. I haven't been bandwagoning at all, despite claims to the contrary. Also, I has a convincing roleclaim:
Josh Wheelock, CPU Research and Development
Like the rest of the rebels, you believe in freedom, equality, and prosperity facilitated by technology. It saddens you to see the land of the free ruled by special interests and corrupt politicians. You seek to bring about a new world order for the good of all Americans.
You are an expert in the design of new and better computer processors. While your skills are essential to the long-term success of the rebellion, they will not help save your life. You win with the rebels.
So there you have it. 100% not-scum. Have fun

UNVOTE: REVAN
I am willing to go with Revan for now on lack of any firmer evidence. But how can we be certain of Bali's intent in defending him? How does Bali know? I had considered this prior to Revan's reveal, but if we would be in "doo doo" by getting rid of Revan (and how losing a completely vanilla townie would render us so far mired in excrement, I am not sure) we could always turn the focus onto Bali. If Revan turns up alright after that, then we know and we still aren't in deep doo doo. I will have to think on that.

Oh, and I have just had an interesting thought about the nature of Shiri's nightskill. While I doubt it is terribly original and I am sure someone else has considered it, I'll sit on the theory for a bit until I am more comfortable with whom all that I can trust.
Unknown2008-06-15 23:36:32
What sense would it make to turn the attention to me? What a scummy thing to say. I've been defending Revan all this time because I knew he was a townie. You would be in "doo-doo" because an obvious pattern would have emerged of the mafia using a voting bloc to kill off townies. Consider this...town has already lost 3 people. We cannot afford to lose any more. That equals doo-doo.
Unknown2008-06-15 23:39:59
I'd also like to remind everyone of Visaeris's post detailing Furien's scummy actions, something which I stand behind. (as will my vote)

You know that Revan is a rebel how, Bali? Is it a gut feeling or do you have some proof? I cannot say one way or the other right now whether you're right, but if we are all expected to just go on "because I say so," that just isn't enough.
Shayle2008-06-15 23:52:33
I thought quoting the mod was a no no? Doesn't Revan's roleclaim look directly quoted?

I got him to roleclaim to me Night 1.
He can of course confirm this. I revealed to him my role in turn and he can confirm I am town. (although I think I have made it glaringly obvious enough)
@Shayle While it did look like he copypasta'd the role thats something you cant prove. It is the same one he showed me, though... *shrug*
