"Ok, down to buthineth. Thtaple Hazar?" Shiri asks the question non-chalantly, emphasizing his lack of concern with a limp-wristed shrug.
"Ok!" The crowd grabs Hazar and carries him directly to the table.
Hazar blinks, glances around, and manages little more than, "Uh...hey guys?" before the machine operator stuffs the gag in his mouth. The rebels wander away and go back to drinking coffee. Duke pulls out a deck of hotel cards and starts dealing a poker game using mints as chips. After the first hand, Hazar starts screaming, and the machine operator flops down and takes a few mints.
"So," asks Xenthos, "what's that thing do anyways?"
"We're not entirely sure." The screaming stops. "It's a development on the old electroconvulsive therapy, except we've isolated all of the behavioral and personality centers of the brain, and we're able to send controlled pulses just to the areas we want to alter the existing schemas in."
"What're you reprogramming him to do?"
Hazar starts screaming again. "Oh, nothing really. We're not that good yet. It mostly eliminates any behavioral or personality traits. Great way to make a spy stop being a spy, eh?"
Xenthos grins and raises the bet. "Works for me."
A potential world record: 35 minute lynch. Night 5, go go go!
