Right now I am going to VOTE: NO LYNCH as we don't know anything besides people are taking the past game and using that as a reason to lynch. Just say Arix is a townie instead of scum (as your votes really say he is, or that you just want to get rid of him cuz he wasn't good at playing his first game.) and was a doctor or cop (or any power role for that matter) and once we kill him we might not have a back up.

I sort of have to echo Vis' statement here with that in a cyber world like this NAWO that it is most likely a role, some robot or something (which is very suspicious, and Xavius could be clever and gave Shiri the role to see how he'd be able to defend himself, or another possibility is Xavius gave the weird-color pattern to an important Townie role, and knew we'd all be suspicious of it and lynch it quickly).

I'm actually convinced there is something to Shiri's colored posts
Fair enough. I guess we'll see what turns out from his posts.
Shiri2008-06-09 00:37:29
Bad no lynch voting! Bad! Town has to take every chance it can get to find someone suspicious. It would have to be some weird scenario for no lynch to be a good alternative.
Exeryte and Revan have now seemingly proven that they are willing to actually post this game, but I changed votes to Rika anyway. Does anyone else think she's being weird or am I overanalysing? And is there anyone that hasn't posted yet?

Statistically speaking, aren't we more likely to end up killing pro town than scum if we do a day start lynch? I mean, unless someone does something really stupid/super suspicious (which hasn't happened yet and I don't think is likely to happen until after night).
I'll change my vote to a person if someone can point out a decent reason to do so: thusfar it seems like we're just shooting in the dark and, the numbers being what they are, we're more likely to kill one of our own than scum.

Yes, statistically speaking that is correct. Statistically speaking it is also correct for night starts. The only point where it's as likely or more to lynch a scum than a townie is the point where we lose because then they outnumber us and can gank us instantly. It is slightly more likely to go in the scum's favour on a day start than on a night start, but that is irrelevant because it's better to do it anyway. The scum get a kill (almost) guaranteed every night. We do not. Since they need to die anyway, we almost -always- need to make a lynch. That can be either inactive people, liabilities to the town, or anyone suspicious that comes up in the conversation. Very little is likely to come of ignoring the chance and letting the scum get a night kill.

That's a fair enough point, I suppose. I was just hoping that the time would give us more in the way of suspicion, but since we're gonna need to make a decision...
Let's go with "liabilities to the town", since someone has a history of being a liability:
Unvote: No lynch
Vote: Arix

Psh, seriously. You try putting 15 years of learning to spell and write properly behind you for a game.
And (Oh god, I can't believe I'm typing this) down with Canada! Down with Bill 101 especially which demands every packaging to have both English and French!
Down with the French, we don't eat french fires. We eat freedom fries.

As Nejii said, someone's going to die. It makes sense to preempt the nightkill by the scum. And it prevents you from spazzing out later and doing something foolish (which you did last game).

Someone's got to die. If you see a better target feel free to point it out to everyone.

The NAWO doesn't kill people! That's barbaric. You strap them to a machine created by one of your specialists that may or may not have been inspired by something out of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

Well now the morbid part of me is even eager for someone to take a fall. Shiri I notice you're saying someone has to die and talking about a better target, yet you've not voted for Arix. Why is that?
Arix2008-06-09 05:56:30

If you're scum, you die.
If you're legit, you're no longer making toxic posts that contribute nothing to the greater analysis.

The quote was more an aside, not really relevant to the discussion.. Hence why there was a question to the post. If it's an issue Xavius, it won't happen again.
