Can we get something that makes it easier to switch inbetween clans? Or at least lines them up numerically? Right now, if you quit a clan, your clan numbers could be (1, 3, 2, 4, 5, 7, 6) or something along those lines. Or at least be able to switch clans by using:

CLAN SWITCH COURT
"You have switched to the Shadow Court Aether"

5780h, 6329m, 5754e, 10p, 28128en, 26629w eixk<>-clan switch tmc
Your current clan will now be the 'The Moonhart Circle' clan.

On Nexus, that's hardly noticeable.
Shiri2008-06-25 05:10:05
...what? I'm on nexus. You know you can just use aliases, right?

Alias: cs
Script: clan switch $1

Then make triggers for all your clan switches and #highlight them.

Voila, problem solved.

Why not just be able to use the clan alias to talk with?

IE:

dattai yo! (You be speaking on the dattai clan channel.)

Because the abbreviation for the Shadow Court Aether is Court tongue.gif

CODE
1) The Utterly Innocuous Society (uis)
       as Agent of Paranoia
2) The Swarm (wyrd)
3) The Blackened Bones (Blackbones)
       as Watchers
       as Elders
4) The Blood Pack (tbp)
       as An Ever Thirsting
5) The Shadow Envoy (ebonaides)
6) The Eternal Assembly (assembly)
7) Attai Artistic Forgings (aaf)
        as Glomdoring Forgers

Same as aaf is the abbrev. for Attai Artistic Forgings, or wyrd for the Swarm, etc. What Marina's asking for is already in place, too. I just don't think she ever used the CLANS command err.gif

I'm aware. I was just telling her that I did exactly what she was suggesting, and it worked.

She was asking for a new system, though err.gif

I made the following mini-script (I use Nexus by the way. Nejii is god):

Open Nexus
Set an alias for the following:
Clan1=First clan
Clan2=Second clan
Clan3=Third Clan
Clan4=4th clan
Clan5=Fifth Clan
Clan6=Sixth Clan

Set another alias:
CLAN#1
Clan switch clan1
CLANS
Cltoff

Makes it so I will see the clan I switch to and turns it off so no more misaethers.

I had a previous system that did:

CLANS#
#=1-6
CLANS6
Cycle6
CLAN SWITCH <6> (whatever clan 6 was)
CHOKING***CLT ***ENDCHOKE

Sometimes the cycle would mess up and put me on the wrong clan. dry.gif

EDIT: Added CLAN SWITCH in place of CLAN1. I had no clue you could do that. *mutters*

You have your clan alias triggered to drop choke?

That would explain a lot.

Marina and everyone else that missed this point: you can also alias TMC to CLAN TMC TELL $0 (for nexus) and tmc blah blah will turn up there. Reduces mistells drastically (not foolproof though, I tend to screw up between clans with the same colour, there are only limited amounts of visible colours).

No. That's a choke for the system.

Ok. What does choke do in nexus? I haven't come across it before.

Er. No idea what you're talking about, but it should really have no effect for a few aliases.
Shiri2008-06-26 04:44:09
My best guess is that Marina is talking about some kind of choke function which would, uh, give those triggers priority or...something? I dunno. If not: no, Marina, those aliases will not choke your system, I assure you.

Bingo.
