considering speed was nerfed, I wouldn't really go for either of those races. Go human or viscanti. Viscanti are buff and can actually achieve some decent stats if you try, not to mention their huge tankiness for bashing. Humans are just all around good. Again, just go with a base speed class.

Anyone with speed buffs just aren't as fast as they used to be pre nerf. You might not notice the lvl one speed buff a furrikin gets by yourself, but when you are put against a base speed race, you notice it. Even more so for aslaran, then faeling.

Nihilist is about burst offense. If Thoros says Aslaran/Faeling/Furrikin....then it's Aslaran/Faeling/Furrikin. But yes, you will go squish rather easily.

Speed races are worthless for tarot because aeon is capped. I tested it when we had free reincarnations for the racial rebalancing. All having fast-balance will do for you is increase hangedman's speed.

So I'd just go with illithoid.

Meh, I'd disagree. The +1 eq and bonus from furrikin may be very small, but it helps. I noticed it when I was hunting with melville, I outpaced his staff. I did just fine as a non tanky aslaran nihilist way back when.

If you are talking pure pvp, pick a speed race. You've got 101 ways to run if you need to.

A Viscanti Nihilist is tankier then Illithoid and allows you the option to progress to places an Illithoid can't, with Domoths.
