So I am considering one of 2 choices. I have a rarely used character that I kind of want to make into a warrior. This character is sadly a faeling. It does have FathersRock to help with the conversion. It is young and has never done anything wrong and is currently a BT. I did what I needed as a BT and I think it is time to move onto something else.
I can either take this character to a warrior guild, OR just make a new character as a warrior. I am up for either one. I do not plan on buying credits for them unless warrior is amazingly fun, in which case I would just turn mimi into one, which I doubt is going to happen. If anything she would be going back to the Celestines. I know I complained about them before but wow I wish I knew then how good I had it.
So assuming this knowledge. Warriors of the basin, enlighten me on paths I could take, please. I assume as a faeling my only real choice would be the Ebonguard, which is fine and dandy. The sad part is that I really love the idea of Axelord even if they are not so great. They do seem to somehow be less effective pvp/pve wise.
So do please enlighten me on where I could go with this. If you just wanted to make a warrior of all pvp/pve doom what would you do? Race/Class/Specs? I can keep the faeling and move it, or start a new. I mainly just want warrior pvp experience for my system.

Yeah, if you're sticking with Faeling, go Ebonguard. You wont have too much fun as an unspecced faeling elsewhere.
Also.. I incidentally just want more members.

Well I'm hoping to enjoy it, but I am torn on spec and skill choices. Crow/Night etc. I am up for any warrior really, I just happen to have this faeling laying around...
It is hard not to go Paladin since I know Celest and the quests and such, but I think time in a different role for a learning experience would be a huge boon for me, personally. They all seem nice, really. Serenguard seems to have nice skills and good novice and training programs. Ur'Guard apparently has similar to the Serens, but a more kill-friendly environment. Paladins are just the Paladins, nothing much to say there, but I do miss Rituals. Ebonguard always has treated be exceptionally well.. hrm.

Well, one really good thing about going Ebonguard is you can hunt in the actual forest and get some pretty okay experience for awhile. But there's a lot more dangerous and aggro stuff around.

Krokani Bonecrusher for the easiest Knight combo - I'd say go Ebonguard too as they have some pretty cool skills, otherwise Elfen Lord Serenguard BC would be a pretty nice combination.

As a faeling, you can go Blademaster or Bonecrusher. Pureblade is Purelygimped, and Axelord won't give you much in return considering you're a fast/squishy race.
With Bonecrusher, you can be a Wind/Knockdown whore, or you can go Blademaster for bleeding/Coule/Impale/Lolpinleg whoring. Either way, it's like Desitrus said: retardedly huge win.

As a demigod shadowlord faeling all of the specs are ridiculous. It's just that dual wielding ones get toxin overload potential above 9000.

Dual wield has an advantage in the first fugging place because they have the ability to afflict two wounds and two poisons, whereas Axelord and Pureblade crawl along at one affliction+one poison with no apparent benefit. My only chance to even be effective is to get the target into high wounds quickly, but swinging one weapon puts me at a disadvantage again because when I miss or get dodged/parried, it's ENORMOUSLY more noticeable than if a BM or a BC were to miss.

In bashing, BC/BM get double chances to score crits. In combat, they get double the chances to attack, double chance to afflict, double chance to poison. It's not that they are way better, but they do have advantages that AL and PB don't have without suffering any apparent drawbacks.

ALs and PBs get advantages in return, however. Better afflictions, easier to achieve related afflictions (heavy for tendon versus critical for 1hers), precision bonus (which gives a better chance to get afflictions as well), twice as much damage on each hit, a better poison affliction rate per hit, cleave...

Forgive me for saying this, because I know how lame it must sound. But an advantage for me with AL and PB over the two-handed specializations is that it's much easier to keep track of :X
Otherwise, the single weapon specs have increased abilities in some areas, but the name of the game in the IRE MUDs is usually attrition. You have to afflict faster then they are healing, you have to deal damage faster which means doing it more consistently. Changes I would suggest off the top of my head if this theory is correct would be less chance to miss or improved reactions to parry. For example, I could see an axelord forcing a parried weapon down and doing a less powerful hit to the targeted region still. Or if an axelord hacks down, the parry would prevent it from hitting head but it would still hit chest or gut for less damage. The vibrato on weapons effect doesn't in my memory help very much, though it's been awhile for me.
