I've never played on mafiascum.net, but Bali's claim does sound accurate.

I dislike people who vote for flimsy reasons. At least put substance into your votes.. geez. If you have no real reason to vote, don't vote yet! It's scummy and obvious. Not to mention what Bali wrote is right on spot.

Lessee. Ryleth's sitting at... 5 of 9 right now? Looking back over his posts, there's a general lack of useful insight, yeah. Bali seems hell-bent on pushing the train, but I'm reading that as enthusiasm rather than malicious intent.
Thinking about dropping my vote on Ryleth to make him speak up, but I can't say I'm sold on the idea. Revan's clean in my eyes for the moment... his style's been consistent as far as I can tell.
Welcome, Karnagan.

Thank you, Thul.
VOTE: Ryleth
I have no such compunctions, which should bring the tally to six. Consider this your thesis defense, Ryleth: if you're so good at putting together a lecture extolling your virtues, you'd better post, holiday or no holiday.
Also, I'd like everyone to consider that Xavius is a dead werebear. Being Mafia from the start, he's clearly been trying to manipulate things to go his way. The dude with the Judge is on our team, so in retrospect handing out a second vote to him and people like him would have been a smart idea. If he's a Celestine vigilante and not a Paladin one, that envoy decision would have helped him out. Which is no doubt why he killed Xavius as the first proponent of the anti-angel forces.
At the same time, Xavius knew Dag wasn't on Team Aetolia, so he had no worries against offing him. Lucky for the town, this reduces the total number of killers out on a given night. Yet the effects of last night seem to have lit Bali up like a Christmas tree, and someone managed to kill Othero with poison anyways- it clearly wasn't Xavius, who looks to be more of the maul-the-crap outta you type. There may be another serial killer still out there. Or it's an Aetolia-aligned Serpentlord/Infernal.
Oh, and Ayisdra? I'm watching you, girlie. Daganev may as well have screamed "ADAMA IS A CYLON," and you completely ignored a chance to put the last nail in his coffin. I find stuff like that suspicious: the really smart thing for a Mafiosi to do when scum outs themselves so spectacularly is to try and get the nail in first, so that they have a little insurance for future votes. You didn't.

And yet, he could be a Celestine serial killer. We don't know. It's not safe to make any assumptions as to the nature or buildup of the game at this point, it's way too early and we have a handful of roles to try and determine a wider pattern. While I'm inclined to agree with you that it probably is a Celestine/Paladin Vig, I'm also compelled to suggest we avoid leaping to any conclusions as to the nature of Aetolia vs Lusternia.

I wouldn't read too much into it, since Mafia doesn't traditionally know who the SK is. But still, it is slightly strange. I would appreciate an explanation on this point, Ayisdra.
Also: AYISDRA IS A GUY.

The reason I didn't vote for him was it seem some people wanted to hear more from him, as stated in my reason why I didn't vote at the moment. But it seems Veyda (or maybe it was rika...doesn't matter though who ever voted didn't wish to hear more and put the final vote on.)

As a question: Are those of you voting thus far trying to actually lynch Ryleth, or just putting pressure on? If he's sticking to his claimed absence duration, the latter's not going to do much good for a while still. Of course, we did see how well that worked with Daganev, so maybe he'll return early, but I would like to know if you are intending your votes to actually lynch him or as more of a "When you get back, you'd better start talking" encouragement. Some of you do seem to be voting for one reason, and some the other.

Not saying she had to know they were a serial killer. But if you're on the town and you see someone pull a dodgy stunt like Daganev did, you show them the airlock rather than wait for more lies. I mean, did she REALLY want to hear what he had to say for a wholesome reason? Weak, I say.

A little bit of both, really. The town needs someone to lynch within a reasonable timeframe, and Ryleth fits the bill. Xenthos all your posts so far have only been reactionary, which is sort of scummy. I have yet to see you get proactive in this game. You've also yet to cast a vote. Is being cold and calculating just your style?
@Townies - If you look at Sham's vote count you'll see my name in a nice shade of magenta This should convince you that my color posting isn't some elaborate scheme to throw you off my serial killing trial. Although that would be pretty ingenious.
Thul2008-06-26 18:06:28
It's Aysidra's own fault for ending his name in A. My mental image involves an Indian belly dancer in flowing skirts. In any case, I don't fault him for not hammering... it took me a while to get past the sheer WTF value of that maneuver. But then I'm actually new to this.
So... hey, Mr. Purple, I thought you said you'd get modkilled for not posting in (irritating) color, and you still seem to be alive. Wanna explain?

It is, indeed (like I said earlier when the same question was asked). I don't see a whole lot of point in a random bandwagon for the most part (which the first day generally was, as normal). As for today... I'd like a better sense of exactly what this bandwagon is aiming to achieve before I decide. Ryleth's definitely worth prodding, but if he's not around to prod... the only thing we can really do is lynch him, or wait. Hence the question.
Karnagan2008-06-26 18:16:42
Shamarah: you've got Revan voting twice. Is he voting against Furien or Ryleth?
Xenthos: I pretty much agree with you. In general, a lot of people can't resist posting when they're really close to a vote down: if they're at seven, it only takes two unchecked votes for them to dance Danny Deever. Hopefully this bandwagon works the same way the last did: drilling the scum until he breaks. Ryleth's clearly on the way to incriminating himself, if he's already preparing stirring defenses that teh INternets ate.

Yes it is my for the name, but in the last game I told the people atleast 5 times. in this game you have been told about 3 times.
As for Bali's 'white' post, that did stick out to me as well, but I figured that since he wasn't modkilled for it, that whatever it was ended or something. But Bali is posting in color now it seems.

I simply forgot to color my post. Shamarah even warned me for it. Its irritating not being able to just quick reply
An instant modkill for that would be kinda stupid. Sham said I could get a few warnings.
Unknown2008-06-26 18:42:08
Also I find it suspect that Thul would be accusing me of foul play while Shamarah clearly posted in his vote count my name in magenta. Like he's trying to get rid of blatant townies. Strike 2, buddy.
