Every time we stop to see if the person will roleclaim, they seem to disappear mysteriously for long periods
Rika2008-06-27 03:47:41
A small amount of patience needs to be given if we're to play this right.
Arix2008-06-27 03:48:36
That wasn't a 'screw waiting' post, it was a 'hey, did you happen to notice' post
Casilu2008-06-27 08:32:50
That seems like a logical reason. Well... I'll put us at seven.

Here I am! The reason I seem to post so little is that I log on and see there are five pages of posts to read, spend half an hour reading them, give my three-paragraph opinion and perhaps a vote, and then come back a day later to another round of five pages. Also, we changed internet providers today (never fun) and it's being a bit dodgy.
I'm pretty much convinced by the arguments against Visaeris, but don't wanna set him up for a ninja-lynch. I'll wait for the roleclaim and vote tomorrow.

I should clarify: the above are reasons I actually DO post less. Also, I'm doing mid-year exams at the moment, so I'm quite busy.
As you were.
As you were.
Furien2008-06-27 10:28:42
I'd switch votes, but you guys already have Visaeris covered.
Arix2008-06-27 11:02:52
Well I'm off to bed, see you later
Ryleth2008-06-27 13:20:41
Right I'm back! (And I know it's hard to prove it, but it wasn't some mafia-esque stalling tactic but actually a visit to a friend.)
As for voting Revan earlier, I wanted to get some use out of my vote, perhaps lever some information or odd behaviour from others rather than levering it clean. Revan was in no danger of a quick lynch? Ninja-lynch? ( not sure what it's called) and his stand-offish nature is slightly suspicious, although I could easily see that just being his normal posting style.
I'll unvote: Revan now, seems like the impetus is on Visaeris, which almost leaves my earlier reasoning invalid.

You forgot Xenthos in the lynch mob for Visaeris, Shamarah.
Shamarah2008-06-27 15:19:24
You'd think I'd be able to count the votes on less than one page without any problems. You'd be wrong, apparently.
Ayisdra2008-06-27 15:30:12
You also have Casilu voting two times.
Revan2008-06-27 15:32:44
Ryleth also unvoted me. C'mon shammy
Shamarah2008-06-27 15:33:24
God it.
Now go lynch someone.
Now go lynch someone.
Ryleth2008-06-27 16:07:05
Hmm I'm slighty nonplussed if to put this down to posting style or defense. Karnagan replaced Kaervas yes? Who was in the firing line for a possibel lynch - mainly to get information. He is replaced and the heat dies down (though it is still the same role ICly) and Karnagan bursts in with long posts, exactly the opposite of the the style Kaervas got into trouble for.
I may not have long to stay alive- the major problem with last night is that a roaring noise tried to throw me off my game. I'm not sure if it was Xavius or one of his cronies. The point is, I know I'm a good guy, and I know that the Mafia is gunning for me right now, because they wouldn't waste a disruption on someone who doesn't have a good role. The emotive language here bothers me, is this a genuine call for help or deflecting suspision via stating you are in the mafia firing-line and that you know you are a good guy - a claim anyone can make mafia or no.
He did this again here:
Again, the last bit has no real substance behind it...except hey believe me if I sound convincing and passionate.

He switched votes between Thul, Daganev, Silvanus, Revan, and Kaervas (me), who I know is DEFINITELY not scum.

You're a pretty smart guy, Ryleth. Heck, when you posted, for a second there even I thought I was a Mafia because apparently I'm a little passionate about my role. Fact is, if I indeed got targetted for the disrupt last night, I'm well advised to ask people to help me out- just to make sure other townies stay alive. I'm not Kaervas- suddenly the "inactivity" problem a lot of people wanted to lynch him for looks ridiculous, and everyone knows it.
More interesting is the fact that you ignore the clean, cool logic behind me targetting Visaeris. Everyone else heard it- you seem to be avoiding it. You tend to avoid posts of real logic and substance that could help this town, aye?
I've got my eye on you.

Wasn't the abundance of passion I attacked Karnagan, rather the bland statements of your townie-ship which anyone can make, have no justification (at least from the point of view from people not knowing your role) and serve only as advertisement to sway people to you.
As for avoiding the Visaeris issue, in a post of this page I acknoledge it:
Visaeris is in danger of a lynch and we are waiting for his reply/justification what not. Simply adding my vote would leave him in danger of a ninja-lynch (still don't know the term, anyone fill me in?). Is that what you would prefer?
Oh yes and cue another of the emotive yet nonsense sayings.
I've got my eye on you too

Could you or someone else do me a favor and summarize, in brief, the cold logic behind voting for Visaeris again? Maybe it's just your posting style, or I'm just slow today, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what Visaeris is supposed to be defending himself against.

Grammatically, this is a :censored: nightmare, but I'll bite. I already stated the very logical reason that I brought this up: because if I'm disrupted, my ability to save people is in danger. Not only that, but the Mafia have a chance to execute a kill.

Gosh, I guess I missed that behind your "OMG EMOTIVE IS BAAAD" hand-flapping. Here's a hint, though. A man can be as emotive as he likes: if he lays out an ironclad case against a mafia member and is the first to do so, he probably ain't a Mafia.
