This certainly wasn't what I was expecting, but it was quite nice in the end. Thank you to whomever played the bard, it's so nice to see fun little things like this. I rarely get to.
QUOTE
Melodic notes accompany a bard as she wanders in from the north, strumming her mandolin.
A curious wandering bard ponders the Master Ravenwood Tree thoughtfully, looking it up and down.
A curious wandering bard says, "What might this place be?"
You say, "This is where the Master Ravenwood grows, within the Glomdoring."
You say to a curious wandering bard, "Do you like it here?"
You tilt your head curiously.
A curious wandering bard says, "It's a mighty big tree all right. But it looks a bit unhealthy."
A curious wandering bard scratches her head in confusion.
Twisted and veined with entrancing dark swirls and knotted patterns, this gargantuan tree stands above all else within the Glomdoring as though trying to devour the very sky with its sharp crown. Feathery fronds hang down menacingly from the dark branches, the shiny black leaves clacking together in the wind like bone chimes and gleaming with a deep mauve iridescence. Long and grasping roots extend outwards for quite some distance from the tree, clawing into the dark soil.
'Oh?' you exclaim quizzically at a curious wandering bard.
Valonah's mouth turns up as her face breaks into a smile.
A curious wandering bard says, "Ah, what I mean to say is, I'm not used to trees of this shape and... twistedness."

A curious wandering bard lowers her voice once more, "For she, the one I love, is gone beyond".

A curious wandering bard ceases her plucking and curtseys slowly.
Evette claps her hands together merrily.
Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

You say, "Very lovely bard, although sad."

Aww, neat!

We talked to her for a good half hour or more (and I was happy to see no one doing the "OMG event!" thing) at the Moonhart, but she didn't sing for us!
Diamondais2008-06-27 17:20:55
I think she only sung because I made her nervous, and so she wanted to make it up to us for calling our tree a dead branch.
