Wow. People still buy systems here. Anyway, I'll be coming out with a few releases minus my comm-lord script that will be free. Likely going to be Z-MUD first, then Mudbot LUA modules. Not going to include combat support, however, as I believe people should work on those on their own so they don't die like scrubs. Why free? Because I don't suffer in the slightest from handing out handy different displays and utilities for things. Of you're going to be in it for the non-combat features, then wait. If you're going to be in it for the combat features, I suggest you learn to make your own system and not spend money on someone elses or use a free public one.

Why are random-ass people (including people I've never even heard of, who is that above me ^) hijacking Talkan's system thread to advertise their crap? I mean, it's not like I post random advertisements for my map on other peoples' threads.

Considering I've already seen a few free combat systems, I don't think so. The only conceivable selling point of that system seems to be its non-combat stuff. Unless it's meant for complete idiots. Therefore all it takes to use free things with likely equal functionality and certainly more bank for your buck is copy and pasting scripts into Z-MUD. I have no mercy on people who decide that they want to try hawking stuff that's sub par for inordinate amounts of credits and I have every intention of assisting this community in graduating from "you can buy my system for credits" mentality.

Bad form is trying to sell sub-par goods to people who don't know better.

Who are you exactly? If he wants to sell his system for credits because he feels it's a quality offering, that's perfectly his right. What business is it of yours to come into his and try and undermine him in such a terrible way?

And furthermore, who are you to come "assist this community" in graduating from anything?

Welcome to capitalism. It's perfectly valid to sell a quality product that fulfills a niche, and while I'm not convinced his system qualifies as such, far be it from me or anyone else to judge that he doesn't have that right.
