What about the nature reserve around level 20-30?
It's not bad at all, but seems to lack the same gold farming potential that other ventures have at that same level range (cows, rockeaters, city/commune based power quests excluding Glom , scholars/pilgrims/bards) which is important for getting all your necessary gear if you didn't scrounge up quite enough gold while in Newton. It doesn't help that it is located in a fairly out of the way place for a newbie, unless they're taking pilgrims up the peak.

To be honest, it doesn't really have a draw to it. Sure, it has a quest you can perform, but it just seems like a free-flow area. I mean, the first person to complete the quest was a demigod.. come on. I guess if you guys add more stuff to it, or refine the area, it woud be nice. Personally, I have only stepped into it once, to see what herbs it held.

I thought Kalodan was the first.

The first person to do everything is probably a demigod, or at very least, an events-rabbit of one sort or another. Doesn't really prove anything about the area.

Having just done it for the first time, I'll have to agree that supplicants are win.
