DREAM CASTLE FURIEN & SARRASRI

Casilu's pardon was far, far too convenient, and honestly doesn't do much to alleviate my suspicion. Could an illusion have worked that way? Even if someone actually had the power to pardon a pony (legitimately), why would they use it on someone whose role doesn't seem outstandingly important to the ponies?
(As an aside, the forums finally seem to have stopped hating me! )

It's so convenient that the forums crashed on me.
And this really is my first Mafia game. But I won't use that as an excuse or anything, because that'd be very silly to do.
What I will say is that I know for a fact who two townies are. One is myself, believe it or not!
I hope to figure out who some scum are soon, so that we can rid our happy land of these malicious no-good teddy bears and witches!
With that being said, because my abilities didn't help me find any icky scum, I'm going to wait before voting!
I sure hope the bandwagon will appear soon, and let me hop on with them.

About Casilu's pardon we either have a stupid governor who likes the thought of a no-lynch on the first day (Silvanus comes to mind) or Casilu had the ability but was lying about (that would be stupid) or She being a non townie or someone she is affiliated with (non townie) saved her.
Since Sham's abilities are usually one-shot powers, I think the pardon was one shot. This desperation to use a one shot power on the first turn leads me to believe that Casilu was indeed either a witch or carebear.

And take it from me, 100% sure the pardon wasn't an illusion.
Jigan2008-07-05 19:53:38
I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Casilu
This vote hinges upon the suspiciousness of her, and on the thought that she might be important enough for someone to save again and waste their powers.

I think I will take the plunge as well.
Vote Casilu
Here is for hoping against stupidity, because it would have been *really* stupid to waste a one-shot governor power on the first day.

Okay, now I'm really curious. Shiri, Vis? Could you tell if this "Dream Castle" had any effect on you?
Jigan2008-07-05 20:03:17
Not trying to bandwagon so much as try to remove a possible witch.
She claims to be the litle pony who runs around trying to bring attention to herself and then runs away when people get mad at her, giving her protection at night, if I recall. Highly convenient. Not to mention that any kindhearted pony leader with a pardon ability would save the littlest known pony.

If DreamCastle does do anything, then I know for a fact B_a_L_i is a pony!
Then we can prance together! Oh yay!
Please do let us know if DreamCastle does anything!
(( My soul burns every time I try to post like that. ))

I'd like to know as well, unless Bali would like to explain it a little?
Jigan's reasoning for his vote for Casilu is kind of weird, as well. If Casilu really is important, we should first try to establish whether she is or not, either by questioning her or hoping that her protector (if any) will speak up. It's not particularly helpful to us if we waste another power to save her from ourselves, when that power just might belong to the town.
If Casilu doesn't speak up, and the person who protected her doesn't as well, I think we can then safely conclude that it was scum saving scum.

I'm gonna go and VOTE: CASILU, Hopefully she'll give us more role info
Arix2008-07-05 20:16:15
And with that, I am off, and won't be back for awhile. Good luck!
Unknown2008-07-05 20:17:21
On the other hand, if Casilu were town and had the powers she roleclaimed, I don't see why that would justify a pardon. So, taking this into account, we either had an incomplete claim, or a totally false one. Both are just as fishy.
Since I'm going off to bed, I'll just Vote: Casilu for the time being, unless there's more compelling evidence when I wake up.

I don't trust Casilu. So I'm trying to get rid of her. I highly suspect she's using the little pony as a cover. Not to mention, her abilities are sketchy. I'm more thinking that she's Crummy and needs to be removed.
Amarysse2008-07-05 20:19:30
I'm going to let people get back to the forums, and hopefully dish up some more info... either about Dream Castles, or Casilu's role, or the pardon. I'm holding my vote for now, in case it was actually genuine, but even then, it still doesn't make sense that someone would save her based on the ability cited in her roleclaim.
Unknown2008-07-05 20:20:20
Using a pardon on the first turn to save someone just reeks of desperation. Either the Governor was really stupid or Casilu was scum. Thats pretty much all there is to it. Also remember if someone does speak up and claim governor, there is a good chance that they are scum. It would be an easy role to fabricate and very convient to claim.
As for the people wondering what the Dream Castle does, nyah nyah to you. Rest assured though, I'm a good guy. I have several abilities, Dream Castle being only one of many. I'm not particulary worried about being killed for saying this. Visaeris and Shiri wont be able to tell you anything.

Dream castle didn't do anything to me as far as I can tell. I think Bali's just being weird.
In any case, I honestly don't know that Casilu being pardoned changed anything. On the one hand, if she did pardon herself, she's a liar. Lynch all liars is the rule.
On the other hand if someone else did it, they did it in full acknowledgement of the fact that she was being horribly evasive and scummy. So either the pardon came from scum or a fool. I've never heard of a governor mason, which is the only circumstance in which the governor could know with complete certainty that she is town. So we know that the governor was either a shot in the dark or scum.
If it's scum, the result is obvious. She has to get lynched again. If it was just a shot in the dark, we still have the same fundamental reasons that led us to lynch her in the first place, because she still hasn't answered our questions, and still was being horribly evasive.
Ergo, in all three out of three possible scenarios for the pardon(self-performed making her a liar, scum making her scum, or random one off pardon that didn't make any sense and doesn't change the reasons we initially lynched her), we are compelled to relynch her.
Vote Casilu

Not saving her on the basis of her ability, but on the basis that she's a cute little pony kid.

Thinking about the Dream Castle, maybe B_a_L_i is a pony or a dragon!
Ooh! Dragons are so scary...
