Vote: Shiri because bandwagons won our last game.
FOS: Visaeris because of forum invisible. I don't care if you admit to it, it's still a scummy tactic.

Vote: Furien
It is first day and I dislike people who have different forum accounts then their game name.
I was going to vote Shiri, but its getting close to be bandwagoning enough and I'm going to poke Furien for a few days until somebody else annoys me.
Plus, Balizar is obviously the serial killer or something, or doing an illusion with that statement I do not know.

I have to point out, you were the scum who killed me last game.

Maybe we can get a roleclaim.

For reference, you don't actually want to ASK for a roleclaim on a random bandwagon. If you do, the scum will know who we are and thus be able to pinpoint the power roles easier, and we don't really benefit. Roleclaim allowances are there A) if you have someone you think is actually suspicious with good reason, and want to hear a convincing excuse, and to make sure you don't actually bandwagon someone to death for no reason if they're important.
So while I will roleclaim if I'm within 2 votes of lynching before going to bed, or after waking up if I'm in the same position tomorrow, taking the bandwagon too far without doing it properly only benefits the scum.
I suggest taking a look at some of the more scummy reasons people have had for voting so far. Casilu and Jigan in particular are worrying (Jigan seems to be taking "looking for a random excuse" -way- too far, and Casilu's "gut feeling" is reminiscent of Revan's ). I'll let newbie bandwagoning go this time because people don't necessarily know why these conventions developed. Any other suggestions?

I was asked this question in a PM, but as I feel the answer to it would be beneficial to the game at large, I will share it by replying in the thread. For the benefit of scum who may eventually have to fake-claim, pretty much all of the My Little Pony roles in this game were taken from various wikipedia articles on the subject, including:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Little_Pony:_The_Movie
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Little_Pony_%28TV_series%29 and individual episodes listed therein
And, just for reference, Care Bear roles were entirely taken from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Care_Bears

Good enough for me. So if we want to lynch someone: do we put them on the back of a pony and slap the hindquarters, or what? I don't know how hangings go down in ponytown.
Apparently, Visaeris is not a mafia, for teh first time EVAH. Yeah. That ain't suspicious one bit. It just isn't a game without him being EvilHeart Bear. Seeing him smooze up to the pony crowd is just typical Visaeris behaviour.
But that said! We need to roll our bandwagon just a little bit harder. So VOTE: Shiri

Because bandwagons roll, or something..
oh god what have I created
Shiri2008-07-04 15:28:58
Well, if someone's going to do it, do it in the next half hour before I go to sleep. Otherwise the scum will ninja-lynch me in my sleep.
Karnagan2008-07-04 15:31:34
Because it's FUN, silly-bot. Look, we've established that you indeed know a good bit about Mafia games. Which is great! But the random bandwagon is the way to get discussion going to smoke out people's roles, as you well know. What's interesting about this one is, you voted for Furien at the start on a hunch, in the random style you decry. Yet then you turn around and switch your vote over to Casilu on the faint hope that "something seems off" will serve as a way to divert attention onto a plausible innocent target. You're trying to twist out of the bandwagon like a true mafia, rather than just disarming the bomb we strapped to your back. So in that respect, I'd say you're much more suspicious than Casilu's quote could be.
You're already at 10 of 13, so the objective has been accomplished: get a plausible reason not to lynch Shiri. Just the fact you keep rolling snake eyes on the issue makes people wonder, and I can't say I blame them.

Karnagan2008-07-04 15:32:53
And no, I don't necessarily mean "OMG WHO'S THE DOCTOR" in discussing smoking out roles. Rather, we're trying to find out who's going to make a wildly implausible lie in their roleclaim, and then proceed to nail them to the wall. I'd never believe it could work, but look at last game- can't argue with success!

...what? I think you're being a bit too poetic, but there are also some concrete wrong things in there so I'll address those.
I don't "decry" a random style, I said right at the start I was random voting people because it gets us discussion. But you're not supposed to actually lynch them based on that - you're supposed to find people being suspicious (Casilu's "gut feeling", Jigan's stuff comes to mind, some people have been pointing at Visaeris too but I'll let them argue that) and then switch to them. The voting for Alianna was indeed a silly OMGUS.
Anyway, at least you're trying to get discussion out of this particular bandwagon, but it's sadly misguided!
Also, you confused me with "you're already at 10 of 13 so the objective has been reached: get a plausible reason not to lynch Shiri." What are you referring to here? Is the fact I'm at 10/13 votes a reason not to lynch me?
Exeryte2008-07-04 15:37:11
It seems like this random bandwagon started because Shiri has had pro-town roles in the past, so he MUST be a Care Bear this time around. But that might be because it's hard to imagine Shiri as Mafia/Care Bear.

Getting an implausible roleclaim out of people a la Daganev is in fact part of the point of forcing people to roleclaim, but you still don't try to do that on day 1 - it's just that if someone comes up suspicious in the course of discussion and everyone changes to them, their roleclaim when you go for it will deter or cement it. You're not necessarily supposed to get one out of the randomly voted patsy!

This random bandwagon started 'cause Visaeris objected to me random-voting him, I think, I've been scum and town in the past in about the expected proportions.
Jigan2008-07-04 15:40:24
Wot? I'm suspicious? A cupcake is more suspicious than me. Also, slightly less delicious, but that's besides the point.

Well, there isn't really anything against you. If you get lynched and it turns out you're pro-town, we can look at people who voted for you to lynch.
