P.S. Tomes should be shield runable >:)

This would be great. I love the idea of using a huge book as a shield, but I think the issue was people would forget their tradeskill and keep the tome or something like that.

This could always be fixed by only allowing your MagicTome to be wielded when you know X amount of languages learned, or read divine script. Something like that.

No, that isn't an issue and never has been. Keeping the trans items from trade skills has happened since day 1 and as far as I know Estarra is fine with it. It's basically an artifact that neither resets to you nor is excempt from decay.

Supposedly you can keep a trade arty from any trade your current class still allows. Needless to say people dont decide to just hand over because they feel the need, they keep the item because they feel they paid for it.

Will divine bother to check everyone for trade artys? probably not. Which is funny in some cases because of how lessons work out.

Except for forging. Because forging is obviously the best tradeskill. rolleyes.gif

Umm. So it's no problem if I get a tierstone, forget Jewelry to learn Tailoring, get the good robes, forget Tailoring to get Poisons to get the immunity, and just rinse/repeat every year? (Tierstones last about 300 months, no idea about robes, but I'm guessing they can be repaired?)
Shiri2008-07-17 12:19:16
Correct.

Fixed.

Well, it's possible to pay 25credits more each to get them permanent. Or 50 for resetting. Not that I agree with Moraine.

REALLY? suspicious.gif

You can't make trade trans items permanent. It's been asked numerous times to be met with a no. The only one that I know of that is permanent is master armour and that's removed and unable to be worn if forging is forgotten, if I'm remembering correctly.

That's not a "supposedly" or "will they bother" issue. It's fine that way and always has been. Aside from splendors those trade artifacts aren't even a huge boost, and has been proven in the past they can be stolen and destroyed by others. And then your "artifact" is gone.

@Rika: I assume master armour was a problem because it's defence was -huge- compared to the armour worn by other classes (which is only robes anyway haha) and the fact that it was actually non decay. (Together with the fact that having a mage run around in fullplate is just beside the point, whereas a warrior in robes can be called eccentric. (or actually smart if they need elemental/magic protection against someone above all else))
