I have no idea, i believe what ever guild he joins will perform the function of the religion Miroki picks. As long as its not warrior, since ralanbek is Ur'guard. two favorites are bard and whatever archetype nihilists are.
If you want religion, Glomdoring's most spiritual archetype are the Shadowdancers. That might help your religious RP a bit since Mother Night is the daughter (creation) of Nocht so you'll be worshipping Him through Night. At least, I think that's their RP. *is Blacktalon*

Yes, Ried is right, but I have to say that out of nearly all the guilds in Lusternia, and IRE, the Blacktalon have the most unique and potent RP I've ever, ever seen. Sure, there's some great RP in the Nihilists, Geomancers, Moondancers etc, but all of them are much more familiar paradigms. Crow is just bizarrely unique. I actually tear up reading Viravain's teachings of Crow's aspects. Night too, but secrecy and relentlessness aren't especially new ideas.

I have no idea what is wrong with me but I just can never get past the whole family thing. Brother this, sister that, mother, father, blah blah. I just feel goofy saying the titles and it sounds silly to me when I read them. I know that is rather shallow of me but there it is.
I also do not understand the whole RP of the Elder explaining the teachings of the spirits They awakened. Why follow the creation when you can just follow the creator? This is why I can never get into any of the guilds who have a strong RP based around things like the great spirits or the supernals or the demon lords. We have all of these Elders to follow, why does anyone care about these lesser beings?
Still, I am glad that Lusternia has all of this rich background for players to RP with. Even though I do not enjoy the spirits/supernals/whatever RP it is so much better than the guilds in say Achaea. While there is clearly some amount of OOC balance behind why each org has each type of guild, I never feel like the RP of the original 3 core guilds is ever forced or tacked on. They all fit into the world in a way that is refreshing. Hopefully the bards and monks will have this deeper integration in time as well (some of the recent bard changes give me hope).

Hmm. You have to realize that when an Elder God creates some kind of great spirit, it's not an exact representation of them. For example, Viravain greatly prizes beauty, but Crow isn't necessarily beautiful or vain. That's moreso Night. At least within Glomdoring, several traits between Gods and Spirits overlap, but none of them are equal. Also, keep in mind that Spirits are not quite as full in personality as Gods or mortals; Spirits are more like vessels and incarnations of ideas.
Saying that Gods and the spirits they create is the same is like saying that an artist and an artist's work is the same. An artist may be flawed, have different character traits that they do not wish for their masterpiece to embody.

Right but while I might admire a piece of art and even get something out of it I would still "follow" or "worship" the artist and know that whatever was in the art came from the artist and not the other way around. I know in this specific case it is not that simple as the "art" is sentient, but I still have a hard time actually following or learning the teachings of something I see as lesser than the Elder that created it.

Probably shouldn't tell people who your alt is, people will make judgements on him/her based on who your main character is. Hell, even I've been known to do it, though I really hate that I do
That can also hold true for posting your pictures in the forum.
People will treat you differently ingame accordingly, even if its unintentional and subconscious on the other persons part.

While looking around for Isune's manse yesterday going in and out of the separate manse's Nocht asked if Miroki was lost, and talked a little to him, being religiously centered this had a huge impact on him. A god talking to him and all the mystical stuff that went along, so he is in awe since he -saw- a gods power rather then hear about it from others.
and while you are roaming around Glom, and get curious about Viravain's side of the woods, look me up...I can spend hours talking with you and making you feel right at home, if it is spirituality you are looking for. Her teachings are a very stable cornerstone to the deeper RP aspects of Glomdoring and tie in with Notch and the Greater Spirits quite nice.

Will do that too next time i'm on, may be a bit cuz i have a friend coming to stay for a couple of days. I have to say the wilde has been the least talkative bunch to Miroki. But then again it is a lil hard to strike up conversation at first.

Miroki has happily joined the shadowbound in Glom. After hearing about the Shadowbound their teachings + the run in with Nocht, he felt compelled in that direction. i know its a bit of the turn from what he originally thought, but eh what can ya do.
I heard Nocht's order wasnt taking any new members is that true?
