Sounds like a bug. You definitely can't wear leather leggings under greatrobes.

Well, I saw Isune looking at the thread, so it's out there!

... that doesn't mean anything. BUG it in-game. Bugs are not supposed to be reported on the forums, period.

Bug abuse is also not very well-liked, so getting the matter cleared up can only be to your benefit. Otherwise, someone might notice and issue it if they see it happening in-game, which would be much less pleasant. sad.gif

Yesss, being accused of bug abuse is bad. Bug Reported.

Something could be done to make leather in particular more attractive to Acrobatics/Stealth users.

Make leather/chain give more DMP against denizens than robes. suspicious.gif Doesn't affect the "damage scaled against robes" and will make leather/chain useful!

way to screw with Mages

I propose some changes.

Make Mages wear leather. Make wiccans, bards and monks wear scale. It will than make Druids and Mages leather users, Wiccans, bards and monks scale users and Guardians still as chain users. Kephera should be able to wear LEATHER ONLY (for wounding)

Turn Greatrobes and splendor robes into something like the Masterarmour thing for the Warriors. +5/+5 added to armor while wearing armor and +20/+20 added while wearing splendors. Obviously, robes cannot be wear over field and fullplate.

The armors in the end, should give the following.

Kephera, Mages and Druids with greatrobes = 50/50
Bards, Wiccans and Monks with greatrobes = 55/55
Guardians with greatrobes = 60/60
Kephera, Mages and Druids with splendors = 65/65
Bards, Wiccans and Monks with splendors = 70/70
Guardians with splendors = 75/75

This gives one disadvantage. Armor can still be given crazy spec attributes.

Note: this was done under the assumption that the average stats for scale is 50/50 and for chain is 55/55. If it is not the case, it could be shifted over.

No way in hell you're going to find leather armor that fits female kephera. There's a reason they wear togas!

if THIS can be made, I see no reason why leather cannot be molded to fit your Glowbuttâ„¢

EDIT: I'm gonna create an Idea thread.

How about, rather than just changing a single thing (robes) and having to balance for multiple classes around that, we try changing various class-specific skills? Things like stoneskin.

e.g. you could weaken robes a bit so other armour types would be used, and strengthen stoneskin so mages don't get flattened.

the thing is, spells like stoneskin doesn't do anything to Warrior and Monk wounding. That's why we use armor.
