Why not change your vote to someone who hasn't posted yet, instead of jumping on someone who we have basically cleared but still has the most votes? I can understand how people want to advance to the next day, but trying to get a lynch on someone who most people have changed their minds on seems kinda scummy eh? I'ts my first game but still.

And me. I don't think it's worth pressuring him right now. We have as much of a roleclaim as we're going to get and there still may (or may not) be merit in putting someone useless in leader position.

three things me not like about your reasoning:

1. Assumption that we can as the fellowship can take out the leader if needed. This is a VERY DANGEROUS assumption.

2. You seem to be unaware of the importance of gold, or you seem to want us to believe that there is little importance in gold. From what Bali has written, it seems like gold will be very important. It sounds to me like the Lynch Immunity is there as a negetive side the bonus gold we get. Lynch immunity is there so that we talk alot on day one, and not risk making scum a Leader.

This brings me to point three....

3. The leader and discussion for or against people is what gives us the information to help decide who to lynch. Otherwise, day one is just a random lynch. Ye also wanted us to do a random vote on leader! This is exactly what the Leader vote should prevent us from doing! Since we need to elect a leader our discusson on leadership is what gives us clues on who to lynch... NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! So by always trying to say, "lets not talk about the leaders, lets talk about the lynching" You have made me very suspicious.

However, me do not want to vote for Shiri because me do not want more people role claiming at this early morning before we head off. It gives bad guys too much information already!

1. It IS dangerous, but I would be dishonest if I were to say that I don't think the game could be set up this way. We STILL don't want a scum in there by any means, but this is the kind of assumption I think is so certain that the chance it could screw us by making it isn't worth considering it. It doesn't actually change our strategy much anyway: we have to vote someone in, don't want more roleclaims and don't want a scum in it.

2. This is possible, as I haven't given it much consideration up until now, but that's hardly suspicious at all, much less scummy. Gold is an unknown metric. Lynch immunity, not so much. I'm focusing on what I know or can be reasonably assured of here. I hadn't thought much about gold - I suppose I should.

3. This is wrong wrong wrong. Our discussion on the leader has gotten us information, but discussion on a lynch would also have gotten us information if we'd been doing as much of it, and actually doing the lynch gets us information that could be relevant to electing a leader, but electing a leader does not do the reverse. Thus, even if we -decide- (mostly) on a leader first, we should not elect them until we lynch someone. There is no possible advantage gained by doing so.
Also, about the random part, I conceded that that wasn't the best idea when Visaeris argued it with me. I think I renominated him for leader too, though I may have skipped that part and forgotten about it.

Re: metagame knowledge of hookers in mafia - heh, it's possible, but I don't (other than Shayle's role in Xavius' game, wtf.) I'm mostly having vague recollections of D&D paperback fantasy novels of dubious quality I used to read. And that one episode of firefly I've watched recently. It's just made me conscious of the possibility that a whore isn't necessarily innocent (in the guilt sense, obviously not the other one.)
